Allah سبحانه وتعالى said, (Interpretation of the meaning) And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islamic Monotheism and the Last Day) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever. [Al-Baqarah 2:217] They will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their chests (hearts) conceal is far worse. We have indeed made the Ayat (Signs) manifest clear to you if you understand. [Ãal-'Imraan 3:118]

You do realise that it was the Sikh regiments of General Subheg Singh who carved out Bangladesh in 1971 and saved Bengali’s from being burnt and graped in masses. And you have a nerve to agree with her when she says “Sikh terrorism”, when deep down you know Panjab belongs to the Sikhs and is the Sikh holy land. Sikhs never agreed to a destruction of Panjab in 1947. You are clearly uneducated.

As a Christian in a post-Christian Britain, I hate how British Muslims get targeted, especially when they stand up for values we've abandoned like modesty. I am of the opinion there was a significant misstep among the British elite political class regarding liberal secularism and the decision to embrace "diversity" starting with Tony Blair. In many ways, its like the legacy of colonialism has come full circle having exhausted territories to colonise, we've turned the eye of Sauron inward to colonise ourselves. Everyone is replaceable. Everything is power. Muslims are the go-to scapegoat here. Islam gets blamed for our issues instead of culprits like Blair and we're so busy defending our culture, even its worst bits, that we can't see the good in yours that might make us better. It's totally maddening! I wonder if 2nd and 3rd gen Brits will eventually feel the pull to their ancestral roots or move to places like the UAE, especially if England keeps sliding downhill with not much to offer. Please know that I do not believe England will become a Muslim country, but I do feel there is much we can appreciate and learn from one another and the story that's unfolded between us. I hold no grudges against British Muslims and genuinely wish you all well. Curious times, indeed! I appreciate this interview.

Dilly correctly pointed out that migrant workers from South Asia arriving in 60s didn’t come to settle but earn income for their families back home but dilly should have elaborated on why they decided to settle, it was HMRC and Home office which called all migrant workers to a meeting where they were advised that even though their work is appreciated the migrant workers are sending the money they earn out of the UK which was having a dextrimental effects on the economy and they were given two choices the first keep sending money back home and the tax would be raised significantly or option 2 was call your families to the UK and they will be given British citizenship, free education & free health care which is why most migrant workers decided to settle in the UK and become British citizens.

@@User-4517 The claim in the comment contains elements of truth but also includes assertions that require verification, as it is not a universally documented historical narrative. True Elements: It is accurate that many South Asian migrant workers who arrived in the UK in the 1960s and 70s initially came to work temporarily, earn money, and send remittances to their families back home. This is supported by historical accounts of migration during this period. Over time, many of these workers chose to settle and bring their families to the UK, leading to the establishment of vibrant South Asian communities. Disputed or Unverified Elements: The claim about a specific HMRC and Home Office meeting where migrant workers were presented with two choices (higher taxes on remittances or settling with families) is not widely documented or recognized in mainstream historical accounts or government records. It is known that changes in immigration policies during the 1970s, such as the Immigration Act of 1971, restricted new immigration but allowed those already in the UK to bring their families under a "voucher system." However, there is no conclusive evidence of a meeting with the exact details described in the comment. Conclusion: While Dilly's point about migrant workers' initial intentions and subsequent settlement aligns with historical migration patterns, the specific assertion about the HMRC and Home Office meeting and the choices provided to migrants seems to require further verification. Without documented evidence, this part of the comment cannot be conclusively validated. It may be a personal or community oral history rather than a verified policy event.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one who feels this way but cant it be as easy as when in Rome do as the Romans? I as a American no matter the religion, would think that you should do the research before you went somewhere to make sure you knew the laws and regulations and cultures and beliefs so that you wouldn’t be blind! I a female from Kansas would never goto the Middle East thinking I could be full blown American! The way we think the way we dress and the way of life just isn’t the same! So I would conform to their society if I wanted to live in the Middle East wherever it may be I would do all the research before I left to conform to their ways of living not the American way. Maybe it’s just me maybe it’s cause I grew up around so many different cultures and religions yet when it came down to it we all agreed on American culture just being normal to have differences in beliefs and culture but came together as Americans. Ugh so hard to explain. We were the same in more ways then we was different.

Yeh neechay parh lei gandi mori kai dhakan:- The origins of chicken tikka masala are debated, with multiple claims regarding its creation. One prominent account attributes the dish to Ali Ahmed Aslam, a British Pakistani chef and proprietor of the Shish Mahal restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland. According to this narrative, in the 1970s, a customer found the traditional chicken tikka too dry and requested a sauce. In response, Aslam improvised a gravy using spices and condensed tomato soup, creating what is now known as chicken tikka masala. However, this account is contested. Food historians Peter and Colleen Grove suggest that chicken tikka masala was likely invented in Britain by a Bangladeshi chef, noting that a similar recipe for “Shahi Chicken Masala” appeared in Mrs. Balbir Singh’s Indian Cookery published in 1961, predating Aslam’s claim. Further complicating the dish’s origin, some food critics, like Rahul Verma, assert that chicken tikka masala has roots in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent. In summary, while Ali Ahmed Aslam is often credited with creating chicken tikka masala in Glasgow during the 1970s, the true origins of the dish remain uncertain, with various claims pointing to different creators and regions.

To her point on protesting the cartoons of prophet muhammad saws, I would say that this is our civil right as muslims in the UK and more importantly, it is the reason why muslims are taken seriously (if at all) in the first place and why our religion does not fall like Christianity has in the UK. As Tate once said, you can walk around with a t shirt of jesus which contains slurs agaisnt jesus and nothing will happen to you. This is one reason among many why christianity has fallen in the west. If you, as an adherent of the religion, take the religion seriously enough to defend it, it may thrive and will certainly not fall due to the ridicule of the godless.
@jakeforder9435
@jakeforder9435 2 күн бұрын
This is incorrect in a couple of areas. Firstly, it is the civil and lawful right of UK citizens to have freedom of speech and this includes images - there is no law preventing the publication of religious images. Secondly, there have been numerous arrests for people wearing a T shirt claiming that 'Jesus Is A C***': it is, therefore, untrue to claim that nothing will happen to you. It is also speculation to claim that Muslims are taken seriously for these reasons - conservatism is not exclusive to Islam and many faiths have similarly conservative values and views

I watched a programme which she mentioned someone a recently arrived Muslim stalking her which affected her and understandably so. That was when I changed my mind about her because before that I didn't like her. However she seems reasonable and very interactive which surprised me. Dilly knows how to engage with people and I have utmost respect for him.

So when Alex says she doesn’t see Christian festivals being celebrated in Muslim majority it’s either down to lack of knowledge or deliberately misleading audiences.

Great podcast, so far I'm 30 mins in, just one point for my brother Dilly to ponder on, when Alex was making sweeping statements I think you need to interject and state you disagree with that point but ask her to continue and you'll respond after, especially when she makes back to back statements and you have just said uh huh, i know you disagree but it may come across as you accept her statement.

Just some thoughts. -Dilly Mentioned that people pray anywhere because by God's Law we can pray anywhere. I think you should have also highlighted that We are not allowed to block roads and cause a nuisance. It's a importance nuance I heard Dr Shadee make. - Alex talked about catcalling and harassment. How many Women have been groped in the UK by White Men? How many Women on tv have come out to say they have been harassed? Thousands upon thousands. How is this suddenly a Muslim problem? She places far too much emphasis on her being blonde lol If anything, it's the result of Hollywood, Onlyfans, Prn showing the world white women are easy, If Men who have only seen this depication of white women and have no real-life experiences of White Women can very easily think Most White Women are sexually promiscious. That's not an Islamic problem nor does it reflect Islam. Infact in Islam, as Dilly said, its a sin. It's very disingenuous to link the behaviour of odd men to Islam where Islam clearly provides rulings against this behaviour. -Grooming gangs didn't target white girls for being "white". They were targeted due to their vulnerability. A more relevant question needs to be asked where were their parents? Why didn't society care about Vulnerable white girls BEFORE they were groomed? Vulnerable girls/boys are also targetted by White Men in different circumstances like White stepfathers are more likely to SA girls, Football sexual abuse, Church sexual abuse, Rumours of Hollywood Child abuse, Epstein logs, Who grooms and hires Cornstars?

@@disillusioneddisappointedyeah the ideology of white supremacism. Or western supremacy. Your way is not superior, nor is mine. We just have different ways. If your churches are empty it is because you don't go, don't expect us to stop going to mosques because your churches are feeling left out. Btw it makes me sad from a nostalgia pov that churches are rarely visited by Christians. African/arab Christians are far more religious than European.
