Vital video for me. Thank you man. I love informational vídeos like this one.

I work on these 6.7 Cummins all day everyday and we get these out from from the bottom and not a drop of oil is spilled. The 6.7L is the only engine our units have in them.

No problem Bryan. Thanks for watching. I’ve got a couple more in the works. Do you use one of these plugs? I didn’t know about them until recently. I just used a bag before. I guess I was living under a rock 😆

@@DustinFaddis Yes, I have an aluminum one. I ordered the one shown in your video and it was used with damaged threads. Thankfully my brother had one to use. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your 3500 how to videos.

@@bryanmacias4947 are there any videos that you’re wanting to see? I’m going to be installing a few suspension upgrades to smooth out the ride when driving empty. Also replacing the fuel tank with a larger tank so that I can get a little further on a tank.

Appreciate the video Dustin. Since I have not yet changed the oil/filter in my Ram 3500 6.7 I was curious if you’ve seen the Jam 3 oil filter wrench and if you could or would give me your thoughts on if it will work with the 6.7L oil filter given the limited space in the engine compartment. Or just stick with what ya brung in the video? Thanks Dustin. ✌🏽

Thanks for watching. I haven’t had the chance to actually use one of those oil filter wrenches but they look pretty sweet. I’ll have to check them out

Great video. For 10 bucks though and time saving, I'd buy 2, one for the dirty filters and one for clean filters to avoid cross contamination.

That’s a good idea. I might pick up another one myself

Thank you for accurately stating that Cummins factory service information states that the filter is to be prefilled prior to installation.

Pretty nifty! I just ordered one to throw in my tool cabinet.

I was surprised how well it worked. It was a little messy with one hand but when you’re not trying to film, it will go a lot smoother. Did you go with the plastic or aluminum? I think ill order one in aluminum as well just so it’s easier to clean the plug after. The plastic holds onto the oil a little. That’s nothing a little brake clean can’t fix. Thanks for watching

Geno’s garage has an oil filter wrench that fits on a socket wrench. Built just for the 6.7! Both the plug and wrench are must haves

Thanks for the video, just ordered the plug for my 2022 that I have on order. One bit of advice and take it from a bad experience, from now on for every 'improvised funnel' or even from the new oil jugs themselves, I always remove that little plastic ring that remains when you take a lid off. Had one fall into the engine before :( Also, have you ever used a Fumoto oil valve. I ordered one of those as well.
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely a good little tool. Not required but it really helps to keep from making a mess. Good idea on the improvised funnel. I never thought about it falling off. I usually use an actual funnel haha. Thanks for watching.

How reliable is the 6.7 Cummins turbo . Can it last a lot of miles
@DustinFaddis3 жыл бұрын
I’ve read about a few issues online but, everyone I know has put hundreds of thousands of miles without issues. My only concern is the fuel pump which they’ve changed out for the 2022

Great job. I just crawled under my 2021 3500 Limited Longhorn Cummins @ 1,982 miles to check out the location of the oil pan drain plug and oil filter. Damn, oil filter change not as simple as my 2006 Thunder Road and your tutorial is very helpful and the best. Priming the oil filter is a must in my book and the filter cap I will order is by Lisle #57180. BTW, cute kid and pretty wife. Thanks again, Joe.

Not easy .stupidity on needing to change a filter. The bullshit is the monkey arm you need to reach the filter in the wheel well. Engineers should be ashamed
