You can exchange “brutal” for “EXTRA”. I think 5:15 is a desperate attempt from a biased & worried crowd when they desperately need something to reference after the fifth is over. They will refer to that trumpet’s early note in ‘Ultra Instinct’ when they say their favorite band jsu “won” the 5th quarter. But I’d argue if you have to rely on a MISTAKE from the opposing band in order to win the battle, then your band wasn’t as good as you thought they were.

Round 1: Jackson - was a toss up. But, I like Jackson's selections better Round 2: State - This may be the selection of the night. Round 3: State - (Jackson intro was way off. Trumpets were horrible) Round 4: State - Jackson Trumpets gotta get their timing together. Round 5: Jackson - both were throwbacks both gotta go with JSU here.

Very bias. ASU butchered rd2. Did u not hear the trumpet come in early at 5:18. JSU won this with no problem.

@kentrelt5140 I didn't talk about both bands' hiccups in all rounds, but those 2 rounds were the major reason to not give the round to Jackson. Power was there. But, execution out the gate took the round away.

Jackson is also "State" so you might wanna clarify ASU or JSU. Alabama State has improved their sound greatly but let's not kid ourselves JSU took this one and had the more entertaining selections
