Yes sir, LOL Mr. Simmons just DEBUNKED that, “Corner Excuse”, that a certain band love to use and complain about, because TSU sound incredible while blowing mad WATTS from that same corner, so what’s y’all excuse now?😂 TSU didn’t have to move their band at all. They matched SU all while playing in that same corner. This was definitely the best battle of the entire season so far! No other band matched SU like TSU. SU and TSU both sound absolutely incredible here. Both are evenly matched from what I hear, when it comes to musicianship, pen game arranging, and song selections, so kudos to both bands for putting on and giving us this amazingly incredible battle. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Very very good footage! Props to both bands. This to me was a very close battle, but i give the slight edge to SU. I can’t knock anyone that goes with TXSU. However, idk why folk keep talking about size when it really don’t matter. People don’t realize SU has 150+ freshmen that have been improving every week. That sets a strong foundation for SU to build on for years to come.

Okay because this is a totally different TxSU, their quality and fullness of sound won us over. Of course we love Southern and are the standard of quality sound but TxSU really showed off their growth in executing their quality sound and versatility of song selections. My Thoughts: Awesome Audio A1! One of the best battles of the year. The Motion are freaking awesome, they energy hits different!….. now to the bands: Round 2 was nice from both, that ready or not had me singing Txsu frfr! SU can project they sound so damn good. Txsu layering is amazing they usage of they instrumentation is nice especially they got power for they size too. This escapism is nice SU! Both of these ensembles have some amazing books and display of dynamics OMG! The sections that could pick it up for each are Txsu - Tbones; SU - Tubas. They both struggled….SU anytime anyplace is nice! Txsu “rock the boat” is groovy and lovely melody usage! Love the finesse on this Txsu. Percussion ate this too. I like how both ensembles generally had good enough endurance too….Txsu is pound for pound a great band, SU has exquisite sectional power too in the eupho, tbone and trumpet sections. Txsu really understands Diversity! In the end i really think this battle comes down to dynamics, execution and book. To me Txsu excelled in all 3; I really felt like Txsu grabbed control of this battle mid way through. SU has power out of this world but they gotta get some finesse back . Txsu arrangements killed em. Especially cuz they executed too….Txsu slight Win Txsu: 2 3 2 2 3 2 2 2 1 = 19 (w) SU: 2 2 3 2 2 1 2 2 2 = 18

Southern’s last two songs came after SU band director came all away across the field to make TSU leave the stadium 45:40. SU does this with any band that is kicking their tail. They make the other band leave and they continue to play. And SU fans always say the other band ran out of music, or SU blew them out of the stadium. SU tries to get any advantage they can, like having the DJ talk over the other band in the zero quarter, or putting the other band in the corner. It makes one lose respect for a good band program SU has.

SU only mic's for their band ( can't blame them ), so Instead of duplicating that close mic setup on the other side of the field it's just in their side of the field with a sound recorder on the center camera so that's why you get a difference. I close mic both bands with mics in the center also so it's even for both sides & you get a more detailed recording.

You listing numbers doesn't equate to the production of those numbers. & Again TSU dancers were on the track with literally nothing obstructing their view so It's a no brainer to get shots of them, the SU had A Crowd and a whole HS Band in front of them, I'm not running back and forth across the field when I can't get good shots of them 🤷🏾‍♂️.
