Also my musical background match as well, been involve with music not "dancers" since 3rd grade... However I went to and march in a HBCU but graduated from a D1 school.(UH)

Southern arrangements be sounding to much like the radio version of everything they play, they just too good,and it been that way since the 80's...It's hard to beat them,if you have a louder band isn't enough to beat the "S",so your only hope is them having an off night/day which doesn't happen often,Salute "SU"!!

Every section in Alcorns band is bigger but the trumpet section... Alcorn is just loud with no balance at all... It's like every section is trying to out blow the other... The battle how ever was ok, but I expected more from this year's battle because of Alcorns size and all the noise that was talked about them taking SU out... Alcorn put up a better fight in 2014 and 2015 to me.... This here was a cake walk for Southern, and I'm not talking only volume....

Battle>Critic Revision for those...... ASU fans.. It's was ask why the report credits SU in every battle point mark. Well, once again, I'm pretty much neutral when it comes to music not schools so after going back over the battle I was definitely sure I would find errors in the battle review.... Well...... I stand on the decision that was made.... In detail why?????? University musical standards should be higher than secondary music education requirements. Reason saying this..... Picture this🗨 closed your eyes and listen to the battle... OK now.... this is not a bias ear but a musical ear..... Who sounds like a well organized musically band and who sounds like a group of musicians in THIS PARTICULAR BATTLE? Exactly!!! That's why the score was tallied the way it was.... SIDE NOTES FOR SU SOUTHERN has been a premium program for years and have proof from ESPN as well as other sources and from youtubers that agree with my claim. So, the only thing I can say about SU now will be and only be let's see some 3d drills..... U have perfected the 8 to 5 drills...... Lol

I'm still waiting to hear this great alcorn band that's supposed to knock off su and jsu. The sound is just bad alcorn! Euphos are having their own sectional competition on who can stick out the most and play the sloppiest. the Tubas are weak and that drum section just makes the whole sound worse! And I'm not even too fond of this year's su band they sound thin, but they are still in another league
