Lord yes! I heard JSU against Valley and ASU and they not playing! Those kids should great and they have been very consistent in their performance the last two years. But I’m an old SU alum and I have seen us have our ups and downs but we always find our way back to our legacy of excellence and dominance! We are the JUKE!

UAPB sounds so much better than in the zero! I agree that our trumpets are immature this year and need to improve. And there needs to be more of them to counter the lower brass who are just super loud. And we have to be careful when we say SU needs to be more balanced. What’s balanced for SU’s sound is different than what balanced is for other schools. I’m an 91 alum and we have always been loud and our lower brass strong! I don’t want us to sound like anyone else but SU! We just need to stick with our proven formula: making sure all to our sections are fire!!

SU isn’t “IT” anymore! They haven’t been innovative since Haymer left, sound hasn’t been the same since Simmons left, and it’s been slowly going down. SU has always had Louisiana roots at the helm, this “Mobile” based staff has them slowly losing their signature upper brassy sound.
