*🛠️ AVEVA Everything3D Course - Episode 5: Equipment Modeling Mastery with Ali! 🚀*
Welcome to the 5th session of the AVEVA Everything3D Course, led by Ali! In this episode, Ali will guide us through the intricate process of modeling a piece of equipment. Let's dive in!
*Step-by-Step Equipment Modeling:*
1. *Choosing the Right Level:*
- Ensure you're on the appropriate level for equipment modeling.
2. *Creating Equipment:*
- Click on the equipment icon in the EQUIPMENT tab or right-click on the drawlist and select EQUIPMENT to open the Equipment creation window.
- Specify the name, position, and attributes for the equipment.
- Press OK to continue.
3. *Creating Sub-Equipment:*
- Organize your equipment modeling by creating sub-equipment for categorizing primitives such as body, support, nozzles, and insulation.
- Use the menu or right-click options to create sub-equipment.
- Name the sub-equipment and maintain the position relative to the main equipment.
4. *Primitive Modeling:*
- Choose from a variety of primitives such as Box, Cylinder, Cone, and more.
- Begin by creating elements for the sub-equipment "BODY," which may include dishes and cylinders.
- Use the PowerCompass tool to orient primitives perpendicular to the desired plane.
- Utilize additional functionality options to specify locations and dimensions accurately.
- Experiment with maneuvering in E3D using the Middle Mouse Button (MMB) for zooming, rotating, and panning.
5. *Copy Mirror Technique:*
- Duplicate primitives using the Copy Mirror tool found in the HOME tab under the Create category.
- Select the element to copy, choose the origin for mirroring, specify the direction, and apply.
Congratulations on completing this session! 🎉 You've acquired valuable skills in equipment modeling using AVEVA E3D. Practice these techniques to enhance your proficiency, and stay tuned for the next episode where we'll explore creating sub-equipment "support" using Move commands.
Thank you for joining us on this educational journey with Ali! Keep learning, keep creating, and see you in the next session.
