5th Strong Santa Ana Wind Event of the Season here in the suburbs of Los Angeles in the city of Ontario. Area in Southern California where the weather is ever changing and is unpredictable at times. A High Wind Warning was issued 6pm Sunday night to Tuesday afternoon at 2pm. Winds were much stronger throughout after midnight Sunday with peak wind gusts around 50 mph. This wind event so far has been the strongest November event since the last couple years. Wind velocity was measured between NE 25-35 with NE 27 mph being the most dominant and fastest sustain wind. Highest peak gust was measured at 57.40 mph nearly 60 mph which was forecasted. As you can see in the video, winds were ferociously strong and packed with heavy gusts. Their was reduced visibility at times which timing at 6am with dust in the morning. The air was filled with unhealthy air quality and poor humidity for the entire day and that caused some occasional tree and plant damage and lots of flying debris. Leaves, branches, eta. By no means, was their any real break until the late afternoon, which winds stayed 12 hours strong. Overall, a very fierce windstorm in all. November 20th, 2023
