Our kind of Good Old Fashioned Tidings… ;-) Cocktail connoisseur JJ Goodman mixed up an unexpected twist on the traditional Old Fashioned for our holiday #5to9.
Before you cheers, enjoy some #renhotels happy hour history: The Old Fashioned was born in Louisville, Kentucky’s Pendennis Club. Legend has it a bartender created it in honor of Colonel James E. Pepper, a famous whisky scion. #renholidays
Recipe:
Combine 1 1/3 oz. dark rum, 1/3 oz. Martini & Rossi Rosso Sweet Vermouth, 1/6 oz. maple syrup, 1/6 oz. Pedro Ximénez sherry and 4 drops Bob’s Chocolate Bitters. Stir and strain. Garnish with four squares of dark chocolate with raisins.
