5up is just the prodigy child with everything he touches. Change my mind. Tbf there's probably countless hours behind the scenes that he put in in order to get good but still

Guys, it doesn't matter if it would've stalemated or not. These players aren't masters, so it would've been easy to miss when something like that IS possible. Even though it wouldn't have stalemated anyway, the fact that 5up still stopped himself from trying to premove is just good practice.

FYI 5up wouldn't have stalemated as he was giving checks. He didn't risk it because he was quite nervous that he would make the same blunder.

What was Hess worried about? A stalemate was impossible there
@anonymousn52923 жыл бұрын
@@yn849 how? It would have been check. King is on e2, Qhh2 is check and the king has to go to the first rank, then Qgg1 is checkmate. Literally impossible to stalemate here. The reason Ludwig's was a stalemate was that the king was ahead of both queens; Lud was moving his queens to the rank behind the one the king was on. 5up wasn't doing that

There was, if Lud’s king couldn’t move anywhere, but wasn’t in check, it would be a stalemate, if the queens blocked all ways of him moving, but he wasn’t in check, it would’ve ended in a draw
@jaredhernandez65833 жыл бұрын
Talking about 5up, not Ludwig. 5up’s opponent could’ve moved his king into the same stalemate position as Ludwig, but 5up gets to play because king was able to move. It’s an inevitable checkmate
@BorutoUzumaki-kh7hj3 жыл бұрын
That was not the point... the point was to NOT risk premoving into checkmate if you're up on time, 5up has 6 minutes to spare.....

I don't think it will be stalemate of sup7 and Sapnapchess game. It will be 5upp move(queen). So it wil be checkmate. In boxbox and ludwig game, it is boxbox move(king). So it is stalemate. Or did i see wrong
@TheInkPages3 жыл бұрын
I don't understand this stalemate works. Can someone explain?
@blnkdan3 жыл бұрын
It works because of how Lud positioned his Queens. Because both Queens were laddered on white, it mean that the King still had free reign to move on the green diagonal right between them, and put it in safely close enough to force a draw.
@jackiechantz75943 жыл бұрын
if the only piece you can move is the king (boxbox only had a king left), and the king is put in a position where it isn't in check, but any of the squares it could move to puts the king in check it is a forced draw since there is no legal moves boxbox could accomplish.
