I put my daughter in the gymnastics because she wouldn't stop climbing furniture and flipping off the front porch...she loves it and it keeps her simmered down at home because she's worn out from practice.😂

It may have been the same 30 years ago but not the same 31 years ago. I can vouch for that. The first part was the same, but then it ended. Was only pullover, back hip circle, easier dismount.

My daughter was a competitive gymnast about 20+ years ago and this was her L2 routine. I remember her trying to get her kip up and when she finally did it was awesome. She was the queen of the beam and floor!

Amazing! That tiny gymnast remembered to keep her toes pointed throughout. Her approach was adorable and her dismount was impressive. At that age I had a good day if I didn’t run into a wall. 😜

Damn she’s good. The couch seems like a good coach. He wasn’t hovering but he was encouraging n confident in her skills yet he was ready to assist if needed. U don’t find all those qualities in a couch 2 often anymore. Very cool n she rocks

She's so adorable and did an incredible job! I dreamed of being a gymnast when I was a kid and I remember doing that one leg bar spin on the playground when I was 6 or 7 (1st and 2nd grades) and then graduating to forward and backward spins with both legs. They don't make today's playgrounds like they used to! I got so many blisters on my hands and the backs of my knees!

Same! I used to practice my gymnastics at recess they had those 3 lol uneven bars! My favorite one to do was the 1 leg over the bar and the pull-up back flip. All the other girls would line up to watch me do it, I loved it!

WHY IS NO ONE CLAPPING FOR HER 😭😭 On another note, this is not only impressive because of the skill. It's because she actually remembered the whole routine and killed it. I used to do dance classes as a young kid all the way to high school. Definitely, early on, most of the challenge came from teaching us and making sure we remembered the whole choreo. She's awesome!

He's focussing on the child. He's there to catch her, and needs to be fully focussed and have very fast reflexes in order to stop her injuring herself. You saw a few moments. You can't judge someone's character that way.

I did gymnastics for close to 4-5 years, quit when I was 11 ish, and still never got this routine down. I'm super impressed. I just barely got that second move before I left, not even close to the third move, and here she is at 5 nailing it all. Amazing

I love gymnastics! I can remember seeing Nadia Comaneci. She was the boss in her day and now kids beginning can do her routines. It’s amazing what young athletes can accomplish when they love what they do. I have two daughters who took gymnastics when they were young. And if they were that age again right now, you couldn’t pay me money to risk putting them in any level of competitive gymnastics! Every parent would love to see their child be that especially talented athlete. Yet what many young girls experience who are talented in this sport…. There aren’t medals, awards, money…. None of it is worth their happiness. That’s a gamble I’d never willingly take. I am hopeful though…. There is a chance of getting it back to beautiful, fun, performing…. All the things it should be. But that will take work and time and ethics most athletic directors don’t truly possess. Y
