Your chart of GME and AMC is not a good comparison to your AMMPF. 5 months ago, GME was $19, at the same time AMC was $2. Even with today's "cratering hard" as you called it, I'm still up 587% on GME and 281% on AMC. You also don't understand what type of plays GME and AMC are. Look at the history of those two stocks, why do you think they're so volatile? Why do you think Robinhood halted *buying* GME (but not selling) back in January as a short squeeze was likely starting? Why have losses for Melvin Capital and Light Street Capital totaled about $6 billion since May (yes, last month). Well, I bet you weren't even aware of those because you don't understand these stocks and what is happening. Retail likely owns the float if not more. The naked shorts/synthetics that are out there are, well, no one knows how much those total. This means we own the shares the hedge funds need to cover their shorts. This isn't about the price of the stock at any given time. This is about what price you choose to sell at. When the hedge funds get margin called, the computer starts buying back shares at the cheapest available price and goes up until all the shares are bought back which closes the short position. Retail investors don't hold because we're trying to make the price go up, we hold so that when the liquidation starts we can set the price. Even if the price dropped to $10 they still can't cover because we still own the shares. These are ticking time bombs and may likely change the entire fraudulent game known as Wall Street.
