im 6'0 (184) and I just started wearing heels this year. I also felt like a lumpy giant with awkward limbs, but after buying some vibrant blue fake snake skin booties that add almost 10 cm to my height (making me 6'4) and basically doing some exposure therapy it really does get easier. You just have to fake your confidence at the start and then from faking it you notice that you slowly do actually get comfortable with it. It has helped me quite a lot with feeling secure about my height.

Hi! I'm also quite tall for a woman but i absolutely looove heels so i just wear them! It takes some getting used to towering over everyone but honestly i feel so powerful and confident because of it! I can show my outfit off even more and everyone can see im just wearing really tall heels like they know you're actually smaller. I would say just try it out if you love heels because i feel like i get a lot of compliments when i wear them :)

Finally. A spouse that supports the bride instead of constantly shaming her for her body or lusting after her friends. I also love that this show not only recognizes different types of women and different types of couples and their body types, but is not about shaming and mocking someone for being too fat or too tall or too skinny. Everyone is allowed to feel comfortable and like themselves here and everyone is allowed to feel confident on their wedding day instead of letting the family or letting them bully the bride into feeling like she isn't the type of "picture perfect bride" that deserves a wedding. I also love that they don't even let the bride's family or husband put her down. And if they do, they are quick to cut it off and let them know that that behavior is unacceptable.

Because those dresses are mass produced, many made in China. It's easier to alter a strapless gown with a corset back. It needs less alterations to fit, as you may know. These brands don't really get you a custom dress made to your measurements, they order the closest size and modify it. I think the best option is to have your dress made by a seamstress like you!!

If she would've got that same dress at a bridal store plus all the alterations they would've had to make to fit her height it would've been super expensive

I am so happy for her finding a dress! I am 6' 2" and live in the UK. When I was looking at dresses for my wedding in 2007, I was prepared not to find one off the rack that would fit. I found a bridal shop that sold Maggie Sottero dresses and went there first. One of her dresses fit me beautifully wearing flat shoes, which I was planning to do anyway. I had a much smaller budget!

She is a little over one foot taller than I am (I'm 5'3") but then my husband used to tell me that they built the sidewalk too close to my backside so I guess that explains it. I loved the reaction of her fiancé. He was so adaptable and he so easily changed from the first dress that he loved as soon as he found out they could not lengthen it any. No fuss. No complaint. He just moved on to the next option. They are a great couple and I hope they have a LONG life together. My husband and I had 31 wonderful years together and I hope they have AT LEAST that long also.
