To confirm a good load. I take the brass from that group and reload it and make sure I can reproduce it everytime. Sometimes the bullet goes in sometimes the bullet goes out. Take care, Vern

That's some awesome velocity, but the first load would be the safest for summer on its way. And right at 2900 fps, that's movin'. Keep up the good videos!

One-hole groups are more fun than multi-hole groups 🙂

I haven’t loaded rl17 but worked with rl23 and rl26 in a 6.5 prc. Developed a good ladder and got very good velocities, single digit es/sd. Went back the week after and was having lot’s of pressure pressure issues so I just scrapped the reloder powders and went back to the Hodgdon stuff.

Looks really, really good. No losers. Deer harvesters if a guy is willing to use match bullets for deer size game. If not coyote killing loads for sure. Or just solid paper punchers.

I tried RL17. Developed a what I though was an awesome load, awesome velocities and SD’s loaded a test batch a week later. Different temps and air pressures and the groups sucked. I stick to H4350 with all over amazing results. RL17 I still use in my 1915 6.5 Dutch Mannlicher but I’m not expecting any sub moa results.

The good ole days, when you could find rl-17. Sept 2024

Watch RL17 near max loads on warm or hot days it will spike on you. Leave some room for warm days in consideration of your loads. I like RL17 for It's velocity over IMR4350 Keep up the great videos. 👍

Yes R17 seems to be pretty temp sensitive. Thanks for the kind words.
