I received my 6.5 Grendel Mighty Armory sizing die the other day and it is the best sizing die I ever used... I also bought their decapping die...

It doesn’t surprise me that you shot .5 inch groups @ 100 yards with those carefully crafted handloads . Quality Reloading tools combined with quality bullets and components and meticulous care in the Reloading process equals great results at the shooting range, well done 👍. Most shooters would be happy with those groups in a accurate bolt gun let alone an AR rifle .

MIghty Armory dies have been spot on perfect for me. I began using them 2 years ago with pistol sets and was extremely impressed. Their decapping die is the bee's knees.

So, today is Jan 2023 and the ATF decided my home built 7.5" 300 blackout pistol is now a SBR. So, I removed the upper and bought a 16" 6.5 Grendel upper for it. I also removed the pistol brace and put a rifle butt stock on it. And that is why I am now looking at reload videos for Grendel.

I would say with AR's these days if you have a fighting rifle you can expect anywheres from 3 moa to 1 moa depending on manufacturer and if you buy a budget AR you're going to get budget accuracy it's just how it is... I have AR's that will shoot around 1 moa but I also have a few that are in precision bolt gun territory. I have a 223 Wylde with an 18 inch White Oak Armament barrel, a 6.5 Grendel with a 20 inch Proof Research match barrel, and a 6mm ARC with a 20 inch Proof Research match barrel that with my handloads on a good day that I'm doing my part will shoot groups in that quarter to half an inch area and with factory Hornady match ammo they shoot around three quarters of an inch.

Love my 6.5 Grendel! Just want to know what brand 6.5 Grendel you shot ~1/2 moa. I was surprised I got 1/2 moa out of my 18" Ballistic Advantage barrel with 129 Interlock bullets and AR Comp powder. Keep videoing cuz I enjoy watching you!

Have you had any issues with neck tension and the Mighty Armory dies? I have the full length sizing die and it's great. Definitely doesn't work the neck much but I am a little worried about neck tension if shooting the ammo in a 6.5 Grendel AR.

I got a question for you. When you’re reloading brass and you’re reloading for a specific rifle and that brass came out of that rifle and it still chambers fine do you have to bump the shoulders back at all? For my high-powered rifles 300 rum 338 rum I was wondering if I can get away with just neck sizing? Thank you. Hope all is well!!!
@vaughnprecision3 жыл бұрын
You don’t have to, I’ve got some other videos where I neck size only. At some point you’ll have to bump or full length because it will stop chambering or be very hard to chamber. Some of the most accurate rounds I’ve ever made were neck sized only.!
