Thanks bud. I would love to get rid of the soot trap and that crushed down pipe. But I’m not interested in a loud exhaust. Love the sound of the 6.5TD. I have a ‘94. May have a video up. Edit: after 2 years i realize that it said door not soot lol. I also did remove the soot trap. Kept the original pipe just removed the internal honey comb filter element. Sounds a bit louder and drives incredibly better.

I agree with tdk repair, my 95 3500 6.5td has straight exhaust and I can still hear the front engine noise over the exhaust

With a 3" downpipe and 4" straight pipe even towing egts don't go higher than 1k
