The logic of moving this very large, very expensive machine back and forth from field to BGA is not very economic. Suggest a 'road train' tractor or truck with two or more trailers driven by others for crop delivery. Leave the expensive machinery to do its cutting/collection job. There are a few trailers available in game that take 60000 liters. There are mods which can take 200000litres equal to 3.33 round trips or if using 2 trailers 6.6 trips.

Dagger, I believe they are used to lower the amount of trailers you would need to harvester a field. So if you only had say 2 trailers, the idea is that while those two trailers are away headed to the BGA to unload, the harvester doesnt have to stop to wait to unload since it carries it own cargo tank.

Very true... However ,that set up would still need a trailer nearby to offload the auger wagon into. So, I assume it would just be a matter of how far your field is from the BGA to make it reasonable.

In FS17 that might be an option, but in real life, the unfolded backend would simply be too wide to be allowed on most public roads. Especially in Europe were many roads are small you would have real issues driving the Big X even when folded. Also the BigX can only produce chaff or cut grass. So basically it's a very expensive mower. Most farmers that have corn fields are using parts of it for chaff, but also want to keep the maize.. It's sold to other (pig) farmers, but also to other industries.. A regular harvester, 2 or 3 augers and 2 tipper (dump) trucks is a very flexible setup that can be used for a lot of different kind of fields. Unlike in the game, normal road trucks often get stock in the mud, so they stay on the (hardened) road, while the augers form the bridge between the harvester and the tipper.. In my normal day-to-day job I'm as software developer and projects usually take several months to complete. However when I help a nearby farmer, a few hours later I get instant gratification when we cleared a field or simply plowed a field. In that sense it's a very rewarding job. Also I'm a bit of a workaholic and can't sit still for very long.. Farmers are always looking for help..

Oh yes, in the western United States the fields are often very massive which call for very large equipment many of which are large enough to require special signs and flagging vehicles to warn incoming vehicles. Also, most of the larger operations use auger wagons Bc a Semi truck and large capacity grain trailer is the most efficient to moving the large quantities of whatever product your hauling. Even some larger Maize Chaff operations use Semis and trailers to transport from the field to the silage pit.

Hello, if anybody can help me here? I searched for seasons mod in ingame modhub but i couldn't find it so i downloaded it from the website and when i put it in the mods folder it doesn't appear in-game, tried reinstalling it. Could it be that i didn't update the game? Should i download the newest patch?

The seasons mod is placed onder “other” tab in the in-game downloader. Otherwise, for me it helps to extract the zip file of the mod, open the map, and zip the contents of that map. If you rename the zip, and place it in the mod folder, it should work. If it doesn’t work, I can’t help you further, but someone else can.
