I’ve been listening to asmr for like 10 years and fast and aggressive asmr is the least soothing and least relaxing asmr in my opinion ,I agree with them that slow asmr is way better ,asmr is supposed to relax you ,not give you anxiety in my opinion 😂, but again that’s just my opinion. I checked out Maddie’s channel just to see and maybe give her a chance but I couldn’t even watch the first 10 seconds bc it made me super anxious and not relaxed at all

If ASMR is too slow for me I just feel too hyper aware of how much more tense I am compared to the ASMR artist and suddenly I’m super restless and uncomfortable because I feel like I’m not relaxing properly. And I get distracted from what is happening in the video because the thoughts in my own brain are too loud and overwhelming. That’s why I like fast and aggressive. It focuses my attention out of my chaos brain.

Oh actually I hear that e.g. some within the neurodivergent spectrum (particularly ADHD) can barely endure ASMR, but then if, then this type. Which I find interesting. I'm a person from the group but I have innatentive type ADHD and I LOVE shper calm and sensory compelling ASMR to get ahold of my hyperfocus and calm all that hyperactivity inside my head 😂 So to me, the fast type ASMR physically hurts. Yet, I can totally get why it can be perceived as super satisfying by other people!
