Genuinely I hope they never remove the R62A from service on the 42nd Street shuttle - it's simply perfect for the job - but I realize that's a pipe dream.

My only question is HOW do they get the R62As from the Shuttle to here in the Bronx… 🤔

Via 7th Avenue. There’s a track that leads to the local tracks on the (1) and after 96th it switches to the (2) to head up to 239th

From the Shuttle connector track to the Lexington Avenue line, that’s still in place at Grand Central. Then it switches at the South Ferry inner loop theoretically, at Bowling Green. The other option is if the 7th Avenue-Broadway line still has its connector track, then it’s a switch in the shuttle’s tunnels onto the track that leads to the uptown local track. They covered up that one if memory serves, to make the ultra wide platform.
@@jeremiahtaylor1817one shuttle is connected to the lexington track and the other is connected to the 7th avenue track. i believe the bowling green loop connection was used for a nostalgia ride last year, so it likely still exists; alternatively tracks connecting to both lines meet up properly in both the bronx and brooklyn.
