Used coffee grounds as a body exfoliator. It’s great as it still contains oils so leaves skin with a soft hydrated feeling but has the added bonus of being great to combat the dreaded cellulite because of the caffeine. As I Beauty therapist I’ve used caffeine treatments on my clients for years.

I get 5gal used coffee grounds every week from the near by coffee shop. I dump about 30+ 5 gal buckets of grounds in our 15x25 veg garden in mid Nov rake it around and let it be. I also add 5 gal bucket to a 55 gal drum of water and use it throughout the summer for garden and plants. It works great for cleaning our cast iron pans without killing the seasoning.

Great ideas! You can also put coffee grounds in a coffee filter, tie off the top so you have a little coffee pouch and then put it in your vehicle and you will have a great air freshener! Of course, that is if you like the smell of coffee as much as I do! God Bless!

Very informative video. Many thanks. 😊 I purchased a hard cover book on eBay. It belonged to a smoker. As soon as I opened the package the offending smell hit me in the face. To get rid of the smell I placed the book and coffee into a thick plastic bag and sealed it. I left the book in the sealed zip bag for a month. When I removed the book the smell was completely gone. I also use coffee grounds for my grass and flowers. Be well. 😄

Starbucks coffee stores have a program, "Grounds for Gardens," (should be Grounds for Grounds!). All Starbucks will give you their daily used grounds (no cost) in huge bags of waste. There might be coffee filters in these garbage style bags, but they provide great mulch fiber as well. Here in 1 of 10 (!) in my city, they are glad to give me ... (drum roll ...) ... 2 1/2 garbage bags of the used grounds PER DAY! So if I was to get all 10 stores grounds, you could mulch your worms, and cover your entire orchard, veg/herb gardens, raised beds, flower beds, ... and even scatter on your lawn (worms like grounds), so the night crawlers will come out eat the grounds, and they will vermiculture your lawns into spectacular green vegetation forests.

Drain cleaner. Many people say that flushing coffee ground through the drain pipes helps scrub the built up crud in the pipes. I honestly can't say this is fact but I do it occasionally. Can't hurt. Used coffee grounds aren't as acidic as people are led to believe. I use them as side dressings on all of my plants. High nitrogen content.

This is correct. The acids in coffee beans are water soluble; hence, most of the acids come out in the brewing process. Nonetheless, coffee grounds are outstanding for use in the garden (virtually all vegetables, plus roses) and compost (vermi and regular). Excellent video, and I just subscribed. Cheers.

One more to add: We had bought a piano that reeked of cigarette smoke. A good cleaning got rid of most of the smell on the outside, but the inside was still terrible. I put about half a can of grounds inside the piano(sprinkled it all around), and closed it back up. It eventually either absorbed or overpowered the cigarette smell, because all I can smell now is the coffee(and I am VERY sensitive to smells, especially cigarette smoke.

@jerichojoe3074 жыл бұрын
That's because onions garlic and most type of flowers prefer acidic soil. And most people when using this in the garden use it not only to bring nitrogen to the plants but to reduce acidity. It may just be that the type of plant you're trying to fertilize with it don't mesh well with that
@alaskansourdoughwormsgarde43927 жыл бұрын
The blueberry thing is not true. Once the water runs through the grounds the majority of acid oils comes out in your coffee. I have looked it up and it is a fallacy. Sulfur is what you need to use to lower ph for blueberries.
