Nice video Taylor. This is personal preference, but the one thing I would change is that I like to use a clove hitch for the cinching knot in the traditional system. That way I can easily adjust the length of the bridge after I tie the Blake's Hitch.

I love this tip! Will incorporate this moving forward.

I’m a bowhunter looking to eliminate climbing sticks for both weight and hassle of attaching removing banging metal on metal. I have everything except the hitch climber. Gotta try this. Very well done

Real question for a real arborist: In a moving rope system, in "a loop of rope" does anybody use something that protects the rope at the anchor point in the tree? Would a "friction saver" do this? Is nothing needed? I have watched 100 videos but no evidence ever, about the rope anchor point and what could be or should be used. Would DRT or SRT use different equipment where the rope goes around the tree?

Yes, you should use a friction saver when climbing with a moving rope system. Here's an overview video about friction savers: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGTWeaN8f52Wq80

@user-ku2qb1pq7e Thank you 👍 There are way too many arborist videos on You Tube, it's hard to make sense of them all. That being said, this particular video I commented on is the most useful video for someone who wants to begin climbing trees on their own. Thank You
