Maaaan, You flying like 90!! And that's how I feel: like I have to BLEND FAST in order to keep the blending smooth while the paint is still WET. Just found some super clear retardant that I'm gonna also try out for backgrounds.

I usually fine mist my canvas with a little water and use a bath sponge to gradually blend my colours but it takes ages and does my arm in a bit. But it does give you a bit more time.

So, should I have all my colors premixed before starting? Is that a key part? Because I feel like the paint dries so quickly that it can be hard to blend (as ya can’t blend dry paint lol). Thanks for the video!

Check Atelier Interactive acrylic...they have a medium that undoes dry paint for blending...or use their slow dry medium

I just had to switch to oil. There's no way, even with medium, for acrylic to glide and blend like oil. It's like pushing glue around the canvas

Why does my acrylic look so liquidy while when I see it on videos It’s dense looking

I don’t know if anyone ever answered this for you, but different types of acrylic paints have different thicknesses or “bodies”. If you are using acrylic “craft paint” in the little cylindrical bottles, it will be very thin. You can still paint with it, but the texture is more liquid. This video shows a paint body similar to that of Liquitex Basics or Golden Acrylic paint Those brands make acrylic paint used mostly for painting on canvas and it is slightly thicker and much more opaque usually.

Dry? If I try to blend it dry even while using a slow dry blending medium it’s just sticky and gunky. I use liquitex and golden. Both very good pants so I have no idea why I’m struggling with blending.
