I have a pothos from my great grandpa that had zero variegation on it until I took a cutting. I have the cutting growing out of a fishtank and thought that's what was causing the variegation. Then I noticed all of the new growth on the main plant is variegated too.

Great video. But- Wow, I just tried to check out Steve’s Leaves. Every single plant out of the first 360 plants on their site is sold out? Literally the only thing in stock in the first 360 items on their site is a gift card. I can’t say the second half of their stock is also out of stock because I logged off, and I definitely won’t be checking them out again. They’re a hard pass for me🤷🏻♀️

You have truly spoken the truth about orchids! I only grew Phalaenopsis in my home due to never knowing when I was moving with my husband’s job. But in 2018 after he retired and we purchased a house….. I started branching out. I had great self control until last year (2020) when I went from about 20 orchids to now having over 100! Love pothos of all kinds and have a Burgundy elastica that is becoming a monster! My ludisia discolor just had her two spikes cut. If/when you repot yours, put it in a shallow pot as the are horizontal growers

I’m fairly new to plants but doing well with them. I believe a lot of my success is from using “fish tank water” . I have 5 planted fish tanks. The water is dechlorinated and has lots of nutrients. For plants that don’t do well with unfiltered water perhaps buy water dechlorinator from a pet store. Only a few drops can work in a gallon of water!

I have fiddle leaf and never had any issues. The only time they loose leaves is when I cut them off. I just recently moved to tropical Queensland from sub tropical Sydney and they grew a foot in a couple of months. Bit disappointed you did not jnclude hoya. All my hoya have tripled in size in two months here and look so tropical to me. You mentioned pothos, all mine have gone absolutely out of control here. Really all my plants have. Naturally high humidity is like grow juice for most plants.

Hello Nick. My Adensoni has some yellowing. I have it in the soil that it came in. Not sure what is going on. Where do you have yours placed in your home? Mine was literally on top my ikea shelf by a west window. No direct sunlight. What do you advise?
@sherryporsch93492 жыл бұрын
If it gets too dry 1 time you’ll have yellow leaves.
@tali-wally2 жыл бұрын
If only one is yellowing, it’s probably just old. but if a lot are, then you should probably try and change something. How long have you had you monstera Adansonii in the same soil? Maybe it needs a refresher.
@madelinerivera38372 жыл бұрын
@@tali-wally thanks for the tip. I would say I have had her since the end of summer. I did change the soil today and gave it a good watering. Hopefully this is what she needed. She most likely needed nutrients from fresh soil. I usually water once a week but now with the new soil I have to make sure she is just about dry before watering. Let’s see what happens.

It's funny on your comment on FLF's. There's two at the supermarket I've worked at, and although they're technically on sale, most people pass them by because the plant department has them as display. It's been 6 months and the FLF's are still going strong. Barely any attention or water, and they're just happy as clams.

@MarisaAndChew2 жыл бұрын
They want all the light and humidity. Like 8 hours of bright light a day and a humidifier, and they don't like to ever dry out but don't want to be wet. I believe in the wild they grow along rivers and marshes. They're also prone to spider mites. I've heard they're excellent for bathrooms if the bathroom has large windows. Otherwise in front of glass doors or large windows. I used to have one right next to the fish tank that had lights on 10 hours a day (planted tank so plant lights) and it did great, then I took my tank down and I lost my palm pretty quickly.
