The Burger King kids club, I definitely remembered them. My favorite character was Kid-Vid. I remember having all of the characters that glowed in the dark. Awe good times.

I have a picture of myself when I was abt 5yrs old and my dad standing next to a snowman holding a sign saying "I'm not herb!" Now I know what that sign meant. 🤣

Hi Brand Management! I knew about the BK Kids Club [I'm a 2000s kid, but they were still at my local BK on Playground equipment for a while, plus my mom used to read me some of the old comics], but the others are new to me. Speaking of fast food mascots, is there any way you'll do Jack from Jack In The Box in the future? His history is kind of murky, but what I do know is that in the 1970s, he had an entire crew of friends [Onion Ring Thing, Secret Sauce Agent, The Shakes, ETC] and was voiced by Paul Winchell [there's a few animated commercials and three comics with records starring the characters on here, and if you listen carefully, some of them you can definitely tell Paul Winchell did the voices]. Back to Burger King, it seems that they have a slightly clearer picture of their own mascot history.

I've actually been thinking about covering the Jack in the Box characters down the line. I came across an toy of the Secret Sauce Agent recently and have been wanting to look more into it. Thank you for the recommendation on the records!

The Burger King kids' club characters were odd. They were for a short while as popular as Ronald McDonald's land in the 90s. But Burger King dropped them as soon as they introduced the mighty kids meal campaign somewhere in the 2000s.

The Honbatz may have been retired in 2006, but my childhood Burger King still had window decals in the playground area featuring the Honbatz up to 2022, when the building was demolished and relocated slightly further up the road where a Taco Bell used to be. Now with the more modern design and most likely no playground anymore.

As a Gen Xer growing up in the late 70s faithfully watching Saturday morning television, I carefully watched, week-after-week, as it appeared Burger King was slowly building their own version of McDonaldland--adding new characters all the time. So I saw all this firsthand

Herb and Dan the Whopper are the only two I remember. Also, the '70's cartoon of a little king.

@@dydeesoule9013 I think it would be nice to see The Frito Kid! It's a shame we never see him anywhere. There's also an obscure character called the Nauga that I love, but haven't figured out how to put in an episode of my show yet.
