I’m so used to playing a bunch for dollars and only getting tap water for free that I was actually so shocked today when my sister asked for water at a restaurant today and they actually handed her like a Dasani water bottle free of charge

When I worked there I would stock up like crazy on those buttons. First time, anniversarys, birthdays, married. The best core memory I have is overhearing a kid saying its their birthday. They didnt have a button! I sprinted to 3 different stations to find a birthday one. Ran back to give it to the guy. Good memory

Aww! What a special memory you created! My favorite was getting a Mickey birthday pin. It was all gone by the time I figured out they were giving it out, but some friends who happened to be there at the same time gave theirs to me! I felt so lucky because people were selling them for so much on eBay 😢

Their is also free transportation collectors cards on the several modes of transportation around the complex (if they still hand those out.) I enjoy going into Basin to wash my hands with the free sugar scrub samples, and getting a free chocolate square from the Ghirardelli Chocolate store in Disney Springs.

Also at Magic Kingdom there is the Wizard card game, you pick it up at the train station, and it includes a map of these secret locations where there’s hidden animatronic mirrors. When you find one and show the card to it, it will appear! Sometimes it’ll move stuff to show the mirror, or appear in a window.

@@arianabell9351 nope. I got to go to the parks for the first time since then earlier this week and saw it myself, they’re all gone. I didnt get a chance to go see the fire station but i believe thats been changed as well. I’m not 100% sure about that part though. Still, very very sad😞

The pixie dust can be somewhat cast member dependent (who's available, how busy they are). It's basically a cast member sprinkling glitter over you, located at Sir Mickey's souvenir shop in Fantasyland (shop is by the castle). The Fairy wish book is in a Corner of the Pinocchio Village Haus food/quick service location (Fantasyland), it's a guest book thing you can sign. The Treasure hunt's the best, it's in the back area of Adventureland (a bit past Jungle Cruise and Aladdins flying carpets). You sign in there and it's a mini scavenger hunt, at the completion you get a paper pirate card. I think there are a total of 5 and when you're done and put the cards together they form a picture/map. It can be time consuming if you want them all. Maybe take an hour to do the whole thing. None of these things require reservations, but the pirate thing may have more people doing it on busy weekends and the sign up area is only open during certain hours of the day.

Oh yes I remember it was my first time in Disney and my sister too and my mom mentioned it to someone who works at the park and they gave us free huge pins that said “1st time visiting Disney world” or something and it was an amazing experience

No one mentioned the explorer book in Animal Kingdom. Getting stickers for learning about the animals and the importance of conserving resources to prevent climate change, was free, educational and fun for the kids.

Just so you know, Disneyland has been serving free cups of water since they opened. Universal studios charges 56 cents minimum for water.

I just googled this. Apparently you can get free ice water if you ask at any restraunt. They will even refill your reusable bottle for you. Charging 56 cents would 1. Come off as sleezy and 2. Would probably cost more to process then it's worth consider 90% of transactions are via card.

totally free, all you need to do to have those things and experiences is pay overpriced tickets to get in. Don't you forget: riding the park attractions after expending at least an hour at a line is as free as the paper cup of tap water! Enjoy! But don't look at the over explored workers, some of them may be tired and ruin your "magic" experience!
