I am in my 60th year of attending since I was 7 and never missed a goal through getting something to eat or drink. Bring it with you !! HOWEVER because you did that saved you a big decision whether to celebrate the Leeds goal and my advice after 1,770 attended matches is DO NOT IN THE HOME END as we did not do in 1989 when I only got tickets for the Leeds end as a Millwall faN....:)

It was sold out, stadiums are not going to be completely full at the start of season when season ticket holders can’t go because of covid for whatever reasons. I know a few who couldn’t go because they had to isolate

@@Julian-ll4rb £60 is still excessive. How many kids doing paper rounds can afford that? When I first went to Scum Trafford as a Leeds fan in 1981 scum charged me £1.25 full price for an adult, whereas at Elland Road I went in the boys pen every week for 50p. I could still afford it on a paper round wage of £3 per week though! The game is still being taken away from the working class/ low income supporters.

You look gutted at the end, "footballs back, so is pain" is very apt. Can definitely agree with you on the restrictions in the PL. I haven't renewed my ST this year and that's one of the main reasons. Would much rather support lower leagues now. Abroad may be a bit out of the price range with the constant tests. How long it will all last is a slight worry mind.

I looked gutted in 1989 when my team Millwall won 2/1 at Leeds when I was in the Home End as Millwall sold out their 5,000-midweek allocation as we needed to win to give ourselves a great chance of promotion to Top Tier after 100 years. We only smiled and celebrated once we returned to our hotel in Holmfirth :)

I see a small section saying this but I think people are forgetting that we would literally just go to a petrol station every week and show us getting a subway. It was the same format for 5/6 years and in terms of making a video it becomes very unfulfilling on my end doing the same thing over and over again if that makes sense! Also, now I live away from where Ben etc are I never get to see them so these days are the only time we get to chat etc so we’d prefer to be able to catch up and have a laugh on the way down without having to worry about filming too. Hopefully you stay and enjoy this new style going forward! 😃

Fair play to anyone who turns up, but I’ve been saying it with Reading for years, most of our “fans” only started supporting us when we won the Championship in 2006 and even then, we are most fans’ second team. First time for a full stadium in 18 months and 50% full.

I can't get over how much football has changed. My first Leeds match away was as a 13 year old at Old Trafford in 1981 (Brian Flynn scored Leeds' winner, 1-0) and it was bedlam. Hatred and violence all over the place, pure hostility from start to finish. You'd have been about as safe in the scum end as your pet hamster would've been in a python's den. Same at Elland Road for them. We didn't review pies in those days, we reviewed battles and how many beatings you escaped from.

Though football is tribal, it is nice to see young supporters watching the games. In my day it was really just terrace stuff, I am embarrassed now by my past. Empty seats . Unfortunately they were mostly in expensive areas . These are bloke blocked by companies that offer hotel deals .These can be £700 upwards . Therefore they do not have to sell off all their tickets , half sold they still make money .
