There are 3 backhands you are missing here... 2 from the match with Azarenka in a hard court match in 2010... one of those is undoubtedly the best and most glorious back hand down the line she has ever produced... (trust me you will think so too when you have seen it) and the other one is in a wimbledon or grass court match whete she played kim clijsters... belted a back hand down the line winner and gifted us all with a double scream... i love you because of your choice of video... but pls only make videos of Queen Vee when you pluck only the very best of her work! :)

There are times when one cannot really hold it in. Lol. It’s often involuntary tbh. I do to. But only when i am exhausted, do not have enough energy or stamina, or when i am at the full stretch or even when i am super charged the grunt erupts. And sometimes, you just hit so hard- it literally just come out. So-

They were both taught to do it. As years went on, they both realised that it just wasn't necessary. More recently, they only grunt when they are really physically pushed. And I personally think it doesn't do them favours because it lets their opponents know that they are struggling.
