It's the one place I always visit at Christmas to buy small presents of their teas, jams and biscuits. The next time you visit you need to put Borough Market on your list for amazing food x

Lived in north London for seven years. After leaving the UK, I had the privilege to travel back there every two months for 13 years. The only thing that my wife and parents craved for was tea from Fortnum and Masons. Love to go back again.

Next time you are in Trafalgar Square and want a reasonable and nourishing lunch, try the restaurant in the basement/crypt of St.Martin's in the Fields, the church on the east side of the square. They do lovely soup. It's a bit noisy because they have quite heavy wooden chairs on stone floors which tend to make a clatter when they are moved! There is also a good gift shop.

Actually, Leicester is pronounced Lester (and always amuses us Londoners when tourists get it wrong !). When next you're in town visit Borough Market right next to the south end of London Bridge (and easy to miss if you don't know it's there !) - a lovely market for food and drink, and particularly lovely at this time of year. If Dickens were alive today he'd have written about it. Also, for a wide choice of curry restaurants, try Brick Lane (local Tube Liverpool Street). Get some tips though, some of them are great, some, ahem, not so great. By the way, I'm in Paris and am going to check out the bistros you guys mention in your video for places the locals use and the best seafood restaurants. Some of the best macaron shops also - if I don't come back from Paris sans macarons my daughter will never speak to me again !

I was just in London. How wonderful to see both the places I went to and the ones I didn’t have time for. Next holiday visit for sure. I also went to the Kew Gardens Christmas lights. It was lovely however a lot of rain dampened that a bit. I did make it to Covent Garden (in the rain also) and loved it. The same trip I Took the Eurostar to Paris and visited the Tuileries garden Christmas market before flying back to the US. I really appreciate your videos and love to see the things I was able to visit through your videos. Thank you.

We had no prior knowledge where to eat so our impressions were that there weren't many options in our budget other than the hotel, near the museums, or some quick serve places we found along the walks with our large group. I LOVE London. I'll miss the Queen if I get back there. On my last Europe trip, my friend and I were two weeks in London and two weeks in Paris. So much fun. It was getting close to the holidays so there were some Christmassy things around. Fortnum and Mason was really pretty.

As a Londoner you did a great job! Walking in London is great if it’s dry, you see so much more! And I’m adding that Tiffany’s tea to my wishlist. Personally I skip the Christmas markets but our regular ones are amazing - Broadway Market on a Saturday is my favourite but Borough Market, Brick Lane, and the Columbia Road Flower market are also great for any market lovers out there.

This was a great video! Thanks. I wouldn’t have personally chosen Tiffany’s for afternoon tea but I do understand that was a personal dream of yours. There are only two things I would add to make the trip complete: 1, taking an Uberboat on the Thames (completely enclosed and so cozy, with a bar!) 2, a west end show, OR, to make it Christmassy, a Pantomime at somewhere like London Palladium! Loved your Air BnB location. The Kings Head (next door) puts on plays by up and coming playwrights (including, when we lived in London, a friend of ours). Well worth a visit! The black Pudding you had for breakfast is similar to the French Boudin Noir (and there is White Pudding - no blood - like your Boudin Blanc).

I have had little (British 😘) Yorkshire Terriers that I won't leave alone. So it is difficult to take them to the Island because of rabies quarantine. Bloomin' marvellous!! Love London and Paris pretty much equal measure. Very different in so many ways, and each has so much to offer. We had tea at Fortnums and it was amazing, and a LOT cheaper than Harrods. Although buying Asterix books at Harrods and having them put the Harrods stamp on the inside was a treat. Only 15 months before we are back in Europe! Allez, allez!

So you visited my hometown and I missed you! Glad you had a good time here. I had a similar Eurostar experience 10 years ago, when my wife took me to Paris for my 50th birthday. On the way back, the train got stuck in snow for 4 hours on the French side! All OK when we got to the UK side, though....
