something that helped me a whole lot: i practiced only dodging for both phases. no attacking, just solely focusing on evading radahn’s attacks. i’d try to go 5-10 minutes just surviving. once i was proficient enough with phase 1, i did the same for phase 2. albeit it took me 7-8 hours 😭 wishing you the best of luck

Alright, I think it's time you switch up your talismans to be better for what you need in this fight. You're not getting a lot of use out of ANY of them. A buff to damage for doing consecutive attacks? What consecutive attacks? A buff to damage for bleeding? When are you bleeding a boss that often? I'd switch those 2 out with Holy defence and Physical damage defence. Jump talisman can stay and then maybe final talisman can be + FP talisman or Double turtle headed talisman. What do you all think?

The rest is up to you Fingerprint shield Sword Lance +25 Your best holy defense gear Guard boost talisman, golden braid, veridian amber medallion+3, old lord’s talisman Finally, your spells : Scholar’s shield lords divine fortification Golden vow The strat? Buff, block and poke. I know your pride won’t allow you to do this, but if you get to your absolute breaking point, like I did, there’s absolutely no shame in changing it up. No game should ever give you THAT much stress and anguish, mental blocks or no. I caved, I only beat Radahn cuz I had a cold infused Guts’ Greatsword, and the mimic tear, and I still died well over 25 times. I hope this community lets Afro relax and encourage him to break out of his self made chains.

He did this ALL on his own. Afro is NOT good at this game. Nobody would've blamed him for using summons, or any build he wants. This guy is just wild. We've been saying " change your build." Do this, do that. He, as he is saying in this video, refuses to listen. That's what makes his suffering so great! You were led to water over a year ago and don't wanna drink? That's fine, lemme get my popcorn. His inability to adapt and downright refusal to play the game IN THE INTENDED WAY, is where our joy is derived. Dude did regular Radhan with no summons. It's a effing festival!!!!! 😡

@@hsplayz01 How did you pick that up out of what I said? Not a single time did I mention how I played the game. Unlike Afro, I'm actually good at the game. I parried Radhan like he was my bish and it didn't take me 15 hours to do it. If you wanna have pride, try actually being good at the game. Don't handicap yourself and than cry about the self-imposed difficulties. A person with "Pride" doesn't set a challenge for himself and then consider QUITING THE GAME because it's too stressful. Where is the pride in that?

quick tip theres a physics tear that you can get that allows to deflect with just a weapon called the deflecting hardtear that you get from the first furnace golem way back in the beginning near the ruins and it practically makes the game feel a lil bit like sekiro

that how i beat him my first time and it made the fight really fun tbh. I hated the fight until i started using that item. Radahn feels like a sekiro boss with his aggro so its fitting we fight him the same way. Black Knight's greatshield with that new 20% elemental resistance while blocking talisman reducing holy damage to 0 is so good here. Still need good stamina management so it doesn't trivialize the fight plus you need to perfectly guard

@@get-o9o agreed but consider that Afro has played sekiro and GoT I feel like he would benefit so much more from being able to do a blade block/counter against someone like Radhan but agreed you need to have good stamina management

I'd actually argue that summons make the fight harder because Radahn will just swap targets on the fly. I actually tried my mimic tear out of frustration and it just made things a lot worse. I ended up beating him solo.

​@@ApapaneNui As someone who had to beat him twice, I agree, the mimic alone makes it terrible cause he'll immediately go for you when you're vulnerable despite the mimic going ham Like, it's literally programmed into the boss's ai in the dlc to target you when you're vulnerable

I beat him 2 days ago and honestly all you need to do is just bleed build him and keep him at distance best you can or you also can summon randoms for a little fun 3 person fight with him up to you. Shield and spear also works very well

Don’t forget the lesson Margit taught us all the way back in 2022: you’re not ready. Leave, get better gear, level up, and try again later. Elden Ring is designed deliberately this way. There is no shame in leaving and getting the Scadutree fragments.

dont worry afro i was able to beat radahn no summons, lvl 180, lvl 19 scadu, no bleed or frost, only took me 3 days. You dont need to summon, you got this. Someone said "Anything worth having takes time." There's no such thing as overnight success so keep your head up champ.
