I take issue with people who listen to Mozart as "background music". Really? How do you think Mozart would feel about that? Personally, I don't see you could do it. I came into the room and the final movement of the Jupiter was playing- totally captivating- and then into the 23rd piano concerto- the most brilliant and engaging piece of music written. How can one focus on 'trigonometry' or anything else and not give one's full attention to Mozart?

When I work with classical music in the background, it feels epic for some reason. It makes me feel smarter and inspired. At the same time it helps with my tinnitus by masking it. No doubt when the brain processes all these complex harmonies there must be some actual neuronal growth happening.

Mozart was an absolute genius, the melodic symphonies, emotionally stirring hymns and instrumental cooperation is divinely choreographed in such a way that you can only think that the heavenly realm was composing sheet music through his illuminated mortal finger tips. Mi profesor de algebra en el colegio, en 1979, usaba los primeros cinco minutos de la clase para escuchar música, llegaba con una gavadora, nos hacia poner la cabeza sobre los brazos encima del pupitre y nos ponía música clásica antes de iniciar la clase, eso me enseño desde niño a querer está bella música y después de tantos años nos encontramos que la gran mayoría de los alumnos de ese curso, de 39 que tomamos esa clase, 32 somos ingenieros, matemáticos o físicos, solo dos no estudiaron en la universidad, hay un filososfo, un médico y un administador de empresas, me pregunto si ese profesor y esa música nos abrieron el cerebro para entender mejor las matemáticas, por lo menos si estoy seguro que aprendimos a amar la música clásica y soy un seguidor de Mozart y sus bellicimas melodías, gracias a mi profesosr de matemáticas y gracias a Mozart por haber dejado tantas cosas buenas en mi vida....
