That's a huge help for teachers that tries hard to understand the PYP unit planning and the basic principles of it, just like me. I really appreciate it. Hi! I just wanted to say that your videos are helping me a lot. I have a question: At my school we have to plan the 6 units ahead the year. Therefore, we don't have time to do brainstorming with the students. At that point, we don't even know our students. What do you recommend to do in this case?

First of all, I am so glad my videos help you in your career! :D Regarding your query: In the enhanced PYP, students' Agency-Voice-Ownership plays the fundamental role in planning-teaching-reflecting-assessing. Therefore, the ''pre-planned'' units should be modified to be adjusted to the children's needs, interests, and readiness. There is no definite planning of the units. They are ongoing and can be altered to meet the needs and the expectations of the students.
