New subscriber. loved the video. Just purchased udm pro. Will be getting the 24 port enterprise switch. I'm new to this so will be leaning on you for info. I've recently installed rack and ran cat6a throughout the house. I am currently only using a patch panel connected to netgear dumb switches. looking for more control and poe to run cameras. look forward to future videos.

Hey Kevin, Thanks for watching and I am glad I/to help. Good for you going with UniFi in your house... the switch, the APs and cameras give so much for the price, almost competing with big and expensive names like Cisco Meraki. I installed cameras a while ago and will be releasing videos on it UniFi Protect this week end. Stay tuned

I have a Reolink RLC-823A security camera that I have connected to my USW-PRO-24-POE. It is receiving power from the switch but it doesn't show up in the devices list in the UniFi controller. Any idea why that may be?

Good video. can you explain to me how to configure vlan in unifi switch layer 3 and fortigate firewall (I have unifi cloud key gen 2)? I intend to do all routing on the switch and just go to the firewall for internet traffic.

It depends, some people like to put cameras on different subnet, but I don't think I needed to do that. I want the cameras to be in the same subnet as the cloud Key as well as all my important or critical devices (phones, laptop)... This allows quick access to the footage inside the LAN without any routing needed.

Yes, One of the SFP is a trunk and the other one is not (Access on VLAN 35)
