Holy sh!t! This is SO TRUE. Because of the smaller community, I've had to give my exes nicknames, because we all know each other. Or will, eventually. And, it's only a matter of time when exes date exes, and then they tell them the things you said about them. You missed the one type that I call Psychobabe (PB). She's always the life of the party, intelligent, confident, draws a crowd, flirts with anyone (including inanimate objects), and, unwittingly, you are zeroed in on, since you are new to town. Hence, you don't know her reputation, and no one warns you. Also, because PB is bona fide mentally ill, &/or off her medications, known for retaliation, everyone is afraid of her. She seemed so normal, at first. PB showers you with praise & gifts, tells you how unappreciated you are, how she has never met someone so amazing before, and you must be soulmates. Soon, you are swept away, and against your better judgment, you become intimate. Your neurochemistry lights up on fire, and you are wired & invested. Soon, her other personalities appear. You begin to doubt yourself. What you find out, way too late, is about a manipulation technique, called love-bombing. God bless 'em. Took me awhile to stop dating the PB type. TY BuzzFeed Violet. devilshomie Thank you. It was hell to go through, indeed. I'm one who endeavors to learn from my life lessons. It is always about discernment, and following our gut instincts. Our gut tells us something is wrong, but we ignore it and rationalize. If you feel like something is off, WALK AWAY. Engaging with them, even slightly, is a no win. They can, & will, outsmart you. The reason I am posting this, is I see good friends, today, being harmed by psychopaths. The word needs to be put out there, about these predators. It pays off to research this. My early days of learning about this, was pre-Internet access. Now, it's so easy to become self-educated. Support our sisters in love!
