My favourite are those on the Ria Formosa .. (Island, rather than Atlantic side). Ilha Deserta is good if you have your own boat. The beach at Forte de Cacela Velha is pretty too … (depends on the tide state !)

Nice selection, I know it's super hard to pick the beaches! Hope you do more of these from the other areas you mentioned before, like from Lagos to Sagres, Sagres to Aljezur and Albufeira to VRSA. Curious to see your choices! Good music selection too, had to shazam one

It’s a long drive from central Algarve, but if you have teenagers , the surfing lessons at Arrifana beach are really good. “easy” waves too if dad fancies joining the youngsters !!

Thanks Nick ☺ I've visited 3 of those locations with a very close call on a couple of others back in May. Great & handy guide by the way as per usual! How on earth did you manage to fly at Carvoeiro without being attacked by gulls?! Every time I launched my drone they'd come out of nowhere & go into attack formation! I was fortunate during dusk at Ermida de Nossa Senhora da Rocha because I managed a flight & as I was bringing it it, one attacked & I think it clipped the bird, but luckily there was no damage to my gear! Have an amazing & productive week my friend 🤗

Wowza Nick, this is a brilliant video 🎉!! Absolutely enjoyed the explanation of the differences with landscape and quality of sand of the whole coastline! …and as your column in the Algarve Plus header states, this came :”In the Nick of time”, as have been planning my beach hols this week. 😊. Am heading West to check out around Bodeira mainly and will work my way south towards Lagos (Dona Ana/ Meia) and still go around Tavira for a couple of days if any days spare…one can get totally overwhelmed by choice….but knowing from experience it takes only one beach that you enjoy & love and you’re hooked…. Will definitely check out some of your recommendations on some early mornings- thank you for the inspiration 🤩🎉
