I am a figure skater myself, and at our ice rink we have a memorial wall of the DC plane crash, and when I was reading the hearts that they put the walls in like right they’re like sorry to everybody. It was so sad because some people actually knew the people that were in the crash and it’s sad to think that all these people were so excited because of their competition and then they die with their families . Stay safe and know that everyone is loving you.

my neoghbor was on her skating team, she was not on the plane thasnk goodness but she knew the coaches and skaters very well. she had invited me to a few of their competitions and I was able to watch all of these girls and boys skate. they were absolutely incredible and had loads of talent. when I heard the news I was so sad for the families of the skaters and for all of the people who had the pleasure of knowing them like I did. we all mis them so much.

There are plenty of victims not mentioned in this news segment, this is not racism, or being biased towards attractive people. They are also the victims with the most information, therefore making longer news segments and the media the most money. To all the haters, I sympathize with the families who lost their loved ones. Really, I do. But there seems to be media bias for race. Non-black people tend not to notice this. And why would you? Your "prayers" are for those who look like you. I've scoured dozens of reports. Few mentioned the Miss Kansas contestant, or even the lone black flight attendant. The push back to me pointing this out is very telling. All souls lost in this incident deserve the spotlight; not just figure skaters.

There were a lot of Asians on the skating teams and some Russians. I thought it was odd that the young asian guy had an all American name but then it showed that he and his brother were adopted. Very sad that this happened to all these young athletes and all those lost aboard. So sad that a young Russian guy, Max is no longer with his parents.
