Got over a decade of software engineering skills, but having a hard time breaking into the product engineering side of things as well as the design side of things. I just want to code. One of the biggest problems I've recognized is that I second-guess my ideas. Heck, even all these ideas you mentioned don't sound like great ideas. I can pinpoint tons and tons of holes in them. I'd be really surprised if anyone would actually pay money for them. I've got a lot of great ideas that I think are more targeted, but again I don't think anyone would ever want to pay money for them.

I completely hear you, but I think one of the great things about micro saas, is that its micro! They don't have to take a ton of time to build, so ship early, and ship often. Anything you're not comfortable / not interested in doing (user acquisition, UI, etc.) outsource it. I'm in a similar boat only I LOVE the design side (I spend waaay too much time in figma)

You came out swinging with idea #1. I think that really could apply to so many ICPs across industries!

Could you categorize these ideas in the framework you mentioned in your previous video, System of Records, System of Engagement and System of Decisions and how to come up with many more?

what do you mean by 10x differentiations
@bc41982 ай бұрын
Meaning 10 times better, faster, easier, etc. Someone popularized the term and the idea of using it to make your product viable ("achieve product-market-fit"?). It goes from the idea of validating before building, where it is unclear whether people want a product if nobody has made one before - having a competitor already achieving some success is a good validation that people will pay for *something* but you should be "10x differentiated" to make up for the cost of them switching to yours. In other words, if they already have a solution, why should they buy yours instead? Trying to be 10 times cheaper is risky unless you have some magical solution to why you don't need the money that your competitor is charging, so you want to be 10 times better in some way instead. That way you can get your competitor's business, and earn the higher price they were charging for it.

Suppose I take the AI Content curator webapp/App to be my idea for pursuit. So you are saying that a specific ICP will pay me to read the content that I've curated?

AI is not a 10x differentiator. So many products are AI enabled, more than benefit from it, it’s a tired trope in most instances and there is very little actual innovation happening.

@@TheEsotericProgrammer the probably the biggest problem right now. Complete lack of nuance, and application without understanding. I’ve done ML work for data analysis, never once did I call it AI because the term means nothing now.
