Happy Birthday! I love your videos, and I'm also working toward surgery. I hope it can be this year. I should find out in two weeks at my appointment with the coordinator. I am so sorry about your dogs. 💔 I can relate. I packed up and moved to my brother's house after my soul dog, and two of my three cats all died within six months of each other. Then I took my last remaining cat and moved to a work for stay situation in the mountains that lasted five years. So anyway, I know how heartbreaking it can be to lose multiple pets close together.

Thank you for your kind words! I am hoping to travel as much and as far as I can - my primary focus is Europe and Asia for the first year of traveling, and then Central/South America, Africa, Oceania and the Caribbean the second year.

My sister has 3 dogs and 2 cats, so I will get lots of cuddles! :)

I started walking consistently about 2 weeks after surgery and then started adding resistance bands and light hand weights when I got my doctor's ok at 6 weeks. I now do some fairly strenuous hiking and cardio - I do need to get more strength training in! I definitely feel strong enough.

What was your starting weight

224 was my starting. Highest weight was 228.

so bread is not something I won't be able to eat after bypass .... I had the lap band and couldn't eat bread or rice ... bummer

Some people have more trouble with bread than others do - I can eat it in small amounts. I just have to take it slow.

I just had bypass surgery yesterday..I'm feeling nauseous 🤢 n barely can stomch anything.. I'm hoping the feeling will go away soon.. So I can at least drink apple juice

I hope things have gotten better! That first week is definitely rough, but hang in there!
