Thanks my man!! Seeing your video with your booth and talking to you gave me so many ideas. I’m excited to try the totem look soon now that I got the laptop stand part figured out. Let’s keep building 👊🏽👊🏽

Reinforcing the side wholes is a good idea .... nice work!
@MrMaui38 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and for the support! Yes I realized when carrying it that most of the pressure is on those side walls and there’s a lot of lateral force on it that it’s not built for. I wanted to share that with everyone - hopefully the modifications help it last longer!

You might want to use heavy-duty velcro for the laptop stand. The gator cases are a good way to move the booth. Also, it looks way more professional.

Thanks for the watching and the suggestion! If my tape doesn’t hold up, removable Velcro will definitely be my next attempt.

Do you use a deck saver when transporting
@MrMaui387 ай бұрын
Yessir I got the deck saver you see in the video for my Rev 7 and leave that on while I transport it with the moving blanket around it! Still doing it that same way today and it’s working great. There’s also a Gator TV bag/case others use that works well depending on the size of your booth, but either way the decksaver is a must in my opinion!

Nice set up. Heres a suggestion try soaking the holes and wood around the holes with thin super glue. After it drys then put the top on! BTW what controller is that.
@MrMaui38 Жыл бұрын
That is such a great suggestion I am going to get some glue and try! That will definitely help reinforce those holes -- thank you for the tip! That controller is the Pioneer DDJ Rev1, i've enjoyed it so far and love the portability. Thanks again!

@@MrMaui38 No problem! Keep the videos coming. You are teaching an old dog new tricks! I started DJing, in 1976. I went to The Philly Loft in 1975. I heard Live It Up, Pts. 1 & 2 on a audiophile system.and my wife introduce me to the sound engineer. It was a house party in a Industrial space (Loft).

Great upgrades. What's the link for the furniture used ?

Thanks for watching! Its a standard computer desk that I converted into a DJ booth using DJ Peck's videos as a guide (in the video description). In my first video, I also talk about the booth in more detail: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKqQdaeHp9d2rqs I bought the desk off of Amazon -- this is the link: Haotian Home Office Table Desk Computer Desk Workstation with Drawer,FWT24 a.co/d/bt5ZZTk Unfortunately I think that my specific desk may be sold out right now, but if you're interested you can try searching for other similar desks on Amazon, there are plenty! Just try to read the description to confirm it’s unassembled, so that you can leave out the drawers and have space for equipment!

@@MrMaui38 Thank you very much. Do you know the hight of the pipe from the ground? Why I´m asking: I would like to know which height my case needs if I would like to have the pipe from the ground always in the case... and then before my gig I will install the pipe from the topper into it
@MrMaui38 Жыл бұрын
@@bastianvanrider4809 sure when folded down/collapsed the stand is only about 1.2 inches tall. When opened, the bottom pole is about 7 inches tall before you screw the top piece on.
@bastianvanrider4809 Жыл бұрын
@@MrMaui38 Thank you… just to make sure… The height at 2:50 is 7 inches, right?
@MrMaui38 Жыл бұрын
@@bastianvanrider4809yes exactly! At that height it is 7 inches at the top. The top piece does slide down and screw over that piece where you see the markings, so that part needs to be able to stick out
