I've been feeling that Ward indirectly caused even more pain for Coulson and his team through Coulson himself. By killing Ward out of payback for murdering Rosalind, he inadvertently enabled Hive to take control of Ward's dead body to return to Earth. Feeling guilt-ridden for killing Ward in cold blood out of payback and bringing Hive to Earth, Coulson felt that, despite the assurances of May and Fitz, he let Ward win. This led to a chain of events: 1) Hive takes control of Daisy; 2) Lincoln sacrifices himself to take down Hive; and 3) Daisy, guilt-ridden over her actions as one of Hive's followers and heartbroken over Lincoln's sacrifice that she felt should've happened to her, leaves S.H.I.E.L.D. to become a rogue vigilante with Coulson stepping down as Director to become a field agent in order to track her down. As Coulson feels, Ward won in the end despite his (decidedly) karmic death. However, it's a great thing that FitzSimmons are still a couple and end the season on a happy note with each other.

Yah know, I think this is the first time that the MCU version of a character, has shown themselves to be more powerful and versatile then their comic boom counterpart. Comic Quake has not show the ability to super leap, can not focus her powers without her gantlets, and Daisy has shown herself to possible be more skilled in hand to hand.

it can be May (Coulson stepped down, May stepped up), or Talbot which means it's not shield anymore--it's ATCU. Can also be Fury but it is unlikely (remembering what's happened in CA:TWS), or Maria Hill if the Cobie Smulders isn't so busy. Can even be Tony Stark, considering he's the director of shield after civil war happened in comic, but I doubt they'd pull RDJ into the show

I want Fitz to be that new director for so many reasons: 1) Iain De Caestecker seems to be loved by everyone on the show 2) Iain is in my honst opinion the best actor on the show 2) Fitz is incredibly smart in both a logical and practical way 3) Fitz is incredibly unbiased 4) Fitz is willing to compromise if the situation needs it 5) Fitz should come full circle and be sort of like a phoenix: Season 1 Finale- Saves Jemma underwater, giving himself brain trauma in the process; Season 2 Finale- Jemma goes missing inside the rock, allowing Fitz to be told time and time again that she is probably dead; Season 3- Goes across the universe to have a chance of bring her back. Hopefully he can rise and be the director 6) The only other option is May, but I just don't think that she should be the director because I prefer her as being the field agent 7) Fitz stays back a lot at the base, so he can overlook everyone, especially since Coulson is now back to being a field agent 8) Fitz has been the root to the show, he is involved in pretty much every characters affairs. He was a talking point of almost every character 9) I want Fitz to be safe and also keep Jemma safe, but in a way that allows them to keep working with SHIELD 10) Fitz needs to leave the lab, he needs a new environment such as The Directors Office at least for a 50/50 capacity (by that I mean be in the lab for a small amount of time and then the rest away from the lab) 11) And most importantly, Fits can order himself to get a monkey

Daisy went rogue & is clearly breaking the law so it looks like Shield or maybe just Coulson & Mack are working with the US government to try & catch Daisy. With the Sokovia Accords being passed, Coulson will be obligated to go after Daisy whether he wants to or not. Idk if she is doing good or doing bad but if she is breaking the law to be a hero, then the government still has to come after her. Lincoln's death must have affected her to the point where she is doing her own thing & embracing life on the run.

Spoilers Daisy's father is a vet and had his mind wiped by that crazy mind machine last season. I am pretty sure Daisy is referring to him as the person who has a "practice" nearby and who she wants that woman to meet. She must have reconnected with him and now he plays a bigger role in her current endeavors. Daisy is clearly violating the Sokovia Accords which possibly a reason Coulson and his team are hunting her. It would very cool if she hooked up with Bobby and Hunter this season and they were all able to become legit again.

I wonder if agents of shield will take her into that direction. Will she team up with avengers for the infinity wars or will they slowly move her up the organization and into a position to someday become the director. Or will they take a whole new approach since this quake (with her hacktivist origins and a kind of "I'm gonna do what I think is right" attitude) was always more of a rebel that a government yes-woman. Honestly she is the most exciting character on the show, if not the whole mcu. She is relatable but superpowered but also a little bit rebellious and far from perfect and everything you else you want in your most exciting and favorite characters. I love that amongst all other characters we get to see her development the most.

Plenty of bad guys for next season. This guy, and there is still Felix Blake and his Watchdogs...should be cool. Maybe one last stand for Hydra? Nah...for three straight seasons, they've been carved up by SHIELD. Who would be left? Fascinated with the writing. I still think season 2 was better but season 3 had it's moments. And the quality of angst and drama rose. Which is always good.

+Bruce Cox They did it because they needed you everyone to talk about theories concering the new plot threads these two scenes create. If they didn't do that and the final moment of the episode was Hive and Lincoln dead then it's a complete closure because everyones story is wrapped up too nicely and we won't have many good theories to discuss for the next season during the summer break. It would essentially be all loose ends tied up. They did the same thing in season 2 ending with the closing scene of terrigen mists leaking into the ocean and then into pills.

1. I knew daisy could fly but it took a loooooonngg time for her to figure that out. 2. They killed off will that helped Simmons stay alive on that planet. 3. They killed off Bobbi and nick. 4. They pulled a fast one by letting lash die that fast when they should have kept him around for a little longer. 5. Daisy's shenanigans continues by not getting with the program. She needs help but she won't let herself be helped. Personally, I want them to grow shield as much as possible back to its old roots but I feel like they keep shooting themselves in the foot by killing so many characters off. It looks like their headquarters is meant for a bigger agency but instead you got like 15-30 people working there if I had to guess. (Including background characters that don't go in depth into their story)

Brayden Bledsoe I think it was brilliant because I don't think that's the end of them. If they wanted to end their rolls on the show permanently they would have killed both of them off (which they had many opportunities to do so) the writers clearly didn't do that so in my opinion it was perfect because the writers could easily interject back into some episodes. Lincolns death was not that special or surprising. He was never really truly apart of the team. Tripps death was much more heartbreaking. I wish they would have kept him and killed off Mack. Mack is just boring and Tripp was the only true link AOS had with the MCU. Remember Tripps grandfather was a Howling Commando.

Shield really picked up after the first season but the only thing I don't like about it is I don't feel that the team is really a team. It just seems like at any moment any of them can turn or decide to quit. I think that's the only thing they need to work on. Making them seem like a family that happens to be a team.
