The intro of "Fight fire with fire" is my favorite intro riff on the "Ride the Lightning" LP since I heard it for the first time in 1986 - 1987 when I was 7 or 8 years old, but hearing it in a baroque guitar version is a lot more beautiful. 02:41 (Mouldy) aka "Heroe of the day"

The Day That Never Comes is one of the greatest songs in their library. Severely underrated and blocked by the "but it isn't from the 80's" lemmings who won't open their ears. The entire Death Magnetic album, for that matter, is spectacular. Along with Hardwired, they belong in their top 5 It is possible for them to have improved upon the work they began in the early 80's, believe it or not.

Also, Hetfield just doesn't sound that aggresive, that good in general. The last album when I found his singing decent was st.anger. I mean it's normal to not have the same voice in your 50s, as when you were 18 ofc, but I am one of those who pay much attencion to vocals and I get confused sometimes when he thesedays. Although I gotta say, musically all their albums present incredible level, no doubt

I play "Nothing else matters" exactly the same as you. Those who listen are always impressed and say "wow is better than the original" . The reason is that I am a classical guitar player as you. thanks, this was beautiful to listen to. It always bothered me from the San Diego gig when James apologises to the crowd for playing The Unforgiven as is playing acoustic music is something shameful. I think all top metals band have great acoustic compositions or passages of music (from Zep and Sabbath to Maiden and Pantera), and that shows that there is depth in their art, nothing to be ashamed of.

all of these sound wonderful. Metallica has had some great acoustic/clean parts in between the heavy stuff. To live is to die sounds especially good here. Of all the acoustic covers, that one sounds most like it were an actual classical piece that tells a story. Great covers! keep up the good work
