Use Hairspray for the grips.They slip on and at the end they hold strong like glue.👍🏼
@nudgeA7

i prefer using the glue you use for repairing a flat tyre, works same as the hairspray, but put on the grips before the glue dries too much, and give it some time to dry before you use the bike....;)

This is by far the most useful bike hacks video I've seen for ages. I'm loving the crank stop inner tube idea. I'm sticking some of them on my bmx asap. Only thing I would change would be hairspray to put grips on. Just a tad safer than petrol!

Sam! If you have an air compressor, you can use an air gun to get your grips on. Blow air between the grips and the bars, the grips will float on the air. Nice video!

moral of the story always have some zip ties with you. Also what saved me a hundred times is to have some pre made patches of old inner tube and some moment glue, so you can patch your inner tube on the side of the road or trail, would it so decide to pop, then it's just the matter of pumping it up in the closest petrol station, with a little hand pump, or even once I knocked on the door of someones house and they let me use their bike pump. Oh and I know a more elegant solution to chainstay protection you get some electric duct tape but the soft and fluffy fabric type, you wrap it round many times and there you go silent and safe

Consider trying header tape, can be had cheaply from China, is very durable, and it looks awesome :-) Something like this: www.ebay.com.au/itm/1m-2-Car-Performance-Exhaust-Manifold-Insulating-Downpipe-Fiber-Heat-Wrap-Tape/372243757148?epid=12016264049&hash=item56ab74f85c:g:2-IAAOSwgc1aoj6w

How's that work?
@UnphasedMedia
@UnphasedMedia 6 жыл бұрын
Two cable ties on the chainstay ( about 10cm behind the front sprocket) to pull the chain up, not to tight though because the chain willl eat through them. Then two cable ties in an X shape pulled really tight to stop the first two from moving along the chainstay. I hope this makes sense 😁

Cable ties inside the grips was ingenious. An alternative for the petrol would be rubbing alcohol, i use it all the time, just have to pry the grips open for a bit with a flat head screwdriver to let it evaporate faster.
