Hey guys! Parker York Smith here with 6 new ways to style Sperry Top Sider Boat Shoes. They're an iconic mens shoe for spring and summer and can be styled in a lot of great ways to make you look and feel really stylish. We're focusing on new ways to style them that are different than what you expect. Whether you're trying to lean into the preppy style or switch it up to something more edgy and street inspired, these will work great, I've got it all for you!
I'm really loving Top Siders styled in totally different ways than what you're used to. Incorporating a leather jacket instead of a blazer, or a pair of dark denim instead of chino pants is an easy way to twist the usual expectations people have from a boat shoe.
The new John Legend edit is crazy cool. So many good styles that are different than the classics you're used to seeing from Sperry.

You always do amazing work your videos! My favorite outfit was the last one with the blue suit that one's fire! They're some other fashion KZbinrs that say these type of boat shoes are out of style and they don't look good anymore, but I think they say those because they can't pull them off anymore. Thank you Parker for your great video to me no show/ankle socks just fall of as I have small wide size 11 feet. They are easy to slip on/off similar to a low heel court shoe if my feet start feeling hot sticky and use rubbing alcohol foot powders/deodrants if they start smelling bad have had my navy timberland boat shoes nearly 2 yrs

I’ve been wanting sperrys for about 2 years now. Around last year I went hunting down a pair but I couldn’t find the pair I liked (the ones with the coloured grid in the inside. I think it’s the actual sperry brand?) until I finally found the pair I liked in a city around 3 hours from me. I have particularly wide feet, but they aren’t like SUPER wide. When I tried them on they would slide off in the heel part, and every time I took a step they would slip off. If I believe clearly, I think there was a small gap between the sides and my foot. Even so I still really want a pair :(( should I give up or do they make some for non narrow feet? (I’m a girl btw)

What’s your beef with socks? I love the look of white socks with sperrys. Pants or shorts - doesn’t matter. Maybe I’m just weird. I wear them both with and without socks and love both looks. Is it “fashion” related or personal preference?

Haha no beef! Just personally prefer a boat shoe with none, a high white sock can work for sure but I’d only do it with long pants not shorts

When you talked about wearing a tie with deck shoes, I pictured myself adjusting something out on the foredeck of my sailboat on a windy day with my tie fluttering in the breeze. It made me laugh, so I thought I would poke a little fun at you. Not mean or spiteful, just good-natured. I bought my first deck shoes in the early '70's when I got my first sailboat. I never considered them a fashion statement, just a utilitarian necessity so I wouldn't fall off my boat. Over the years I grew very fond of deck shoes. I like how they feel and I like how they look. After trying different brands, I settled on Sperry's for boat use and Rockports for casual. I have flat, narrow feet and Rockports take care of both problems. I liked my Sperry's so much that I would accessorize them with real sailboats, not just some clothes. That's what I call hyper-accessorization. (poke poke, wink wink!) Did you "get it" this time? May you live your life on a beam reach!
