When iron man was released in 2008, I was in San Francisco and went to watch the movie in a downtown theatre within the first week. Audi had an R8 for display at the entrance of the hall. I stared at it for a good 2 plus minutes forgetting everything around me all the while controlling my incredible desire to touch it. I even had my palm hover over the car. I was interrupted by a lady standing next to me all this while watching me. She said "you really want to touch it, don't you? I just don't get what's between guys and cars. My husband also does the same" 😂 I was in my late 20ies at that time, BTW.
