any how many were caused by other animals? How many species exist because of humans? I'm not saying we shouldn't be mindful of the environment, but we how narrowly we now define a species they will continually pop in and out of existence.

blackgrayden Not really. If we're endangering a species because of habitat loss, or pollution, or over hunting, or by introducing an invasive species, etc; that isn't a natural process. Outside of natural cataclysmic events - such as the asteroid impact that caused the K-T extinction (which killed all dinosaurs save birds, as well as about half of all species on Earth) and the massive volcanic activity that caused the Permian extinction (which killed off as much as 95% of the planet's species), natural environmental changes should happen slowly enough that most species can adapt to their changing habitat.
@FrenchLightningJohn
@FrenchLightningJohn 7 жыл бұрын
+gingergamergirl98 humans are not the only species to over hunt and kill animals to extinction, so its pretty a natural thing to do, and like i said the natural world is adapt or die, take the rhinoceros they are extinct because they were not able to adapt while elephant are adapting to survive against us by having small defence that is uninteresting to poacher, if you have a characteristic that is harmful and your species can't remove it you die simple as that

I think the Katydid is trying to resemble baby leaves. In a lot of plants, young leaves are coloured red or pink as a warning to plant predators, just like some animals that do the same thing. Only, this red colour fades to green as the leaf matures and becomes filled with chlorophyll.
