I love all these comments about hunting over bait, meanwhile, the naysayers spend the whole year setting up Clover plots, what's the difference really? In NJ we're limited in space, and have a huge deer population.
@the.reel.mccoy.5 жыл бұрын
Hunting over bait is great for the herd and allows for more ethical shots. Plus you can be more selective on what you harvest. People act like our ancestors didn't bait. They did that more than anything 😂

Hunting over bait is wrong. It is not natural, it spreads disease. Deer are not meant to gather and eat like that.

@@The93ssfd It spreads disease? Well thanks for your opinion! How would it be any different than deer eating acorns and clovers?

I use to own a deer farm for breeding and good genetics usually don't kick in until the 1 1/2 year mark. Our stock always showed there full potential by this point. We had 12 and 14 pointers that were only 1.5 yrs old. The only difference is what you feed them which increases the mass of a deer rack not is structure. So a well feed 1.5 yr old 12 point will still be a 12 at 2.5 yrs but with proper nutrient it will have much better mass. Spikes at 1.5 will always be spikes or 3 points.

If you did some research you would see that the human diet today is harmful to the body and cell production, hence the increased rates of fatal diseases and conditions like cancer, heart disease and diabetes. The human body today functions best on a vegan or plant based diet. We cannot process meat the way ACTUAL carnivores can. We also shouldn’t be consuming certain things like dairy at all.
@onehundredpicks55312 жыл бұрын
@@alexapro3003 but what about bowhunting? And in my area there are less hunters so the population is out of control and the farmers lose crops that you vegans eat and deer suffer by getting hit or sick. And bowhunting is cheaper than buying food. I grow my veggies but i dont have enough land or time to grow all i need so i eat hunted meat. All i ask is that vegans leave people alone. Everyone has their own needs and opinions. I dont enjoy killing but i enjoy feeding my family and friends to help them. And so many crops are gmo i aint buying cucumbers no more. Until the vegan diet gets cheaper or natural predators return like wolves ill hunt and fish.

I think the butthurt over the corn is a bit ridiculous. Where I hunt everyone uses corn. Come deer season it's stacked up at every sporting good store. It's not like having corn on the ground is some sort of magic magnet that draws deer to you in herds. Last Saturday I watched a little buck walk right over my corn and into the woods without slowing down. I always try to set up where I have a good view of a nice big oak tree because they're in the habit of coming there to eat the acorns, where there are game trails and buck rubs and deer droppings. You still have to scout the area and find the places where they are used to going. The corn really just makes them stop so that I can have an opportunity to make a nice humane kill. If you just walk out into the woods and toss some corn on the ground, you're not going to see anything. If you're under the impression that any idiot can walk out into the woods with a bit of corn and the deer will just come running in to get shot, you're under the wrong impression.

In eastern U.S. a 6 point, in Canada a 2 point, in Washington State if the eye guards are over an inch long a 3 point and most Christians think GOD is either three in one or one in three. It's all a matter of perspective and the length of your measuring rod and whether your measuring rod is hanging between your ears or your knees.

@madmike3181 Exactly! If you can't hunt them in their normal environment, then that is cheating! Come to Pa and do it like we do go in early morning or late afternoon with no bait. Lets just say everyone that baits doesn't properly deserve the right to even say that they are hunting, anyone can do that, that is easy! Every person that gets caught baiting here in Pa will lose their license for the rest of their life and pay a large fine and may do jail time of 5 years!
