Hi, everybody. Today I will try to restore the guitar. I bought this for $6 at a flea market. It's in a terrible state. I've never seen a Russian 7 string guitar before. These guitars are very rare. I hope you enjoy my restoration. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for keeping it with 7 strings. I hated how in another restoration an old 1930s parlor guitar was changed from 7 strings to only 6 strings. This killed its individuality. Thank you for preserving this instruments uniqueness!

The 7 String Guitar is typically tuned like a Standard 6 String Guitar w/ the addition of a Low B on the Bass Side, however in Russia they use Open G Tuning which is D, G, B, D G, B, D, so a 7 String Slack Key Guitar. You can use Open G Tuning for Slide playing.

Beautiful job man! Five years ago a friend of mine donated me a guitar just like this (but a 6 string and in natural finish, no sunburst). He had it from his grandpa, a Greek immigrant in Russia. Mine was in better shape and I mostly had to remove the old finish, because of some acrylic paint stains, and put a fresh coat of lacquer. The neck had a square-headed screw to adjust the neck tilt and the action of the strings. It was a pain in the @ss to loosen it up and then I replaced it with a new screw and a butterfly nut from the inside to tighten it. With the neck fully tilted-up, the bridge height would be too low. If you pay attention in the video the saddle is just a piece of fret wire. I replaced it with a doubled-piece of credit card, tall enough to keep the strings in the right height. I confirm that the guitar I got also had metal strings originally on, not nylon. @Let's go Experiment, can you please tell what is written on the label, because in my guitar the label was missing?

This guitar is impossible to play look at the space between neck and strings at 9:43. Neck and whole guitar is "bended" causing the strings to be too far from the neck (kida like a bow shape) and even if you manage to touch the neck with the string the resulting note will be off-tune.
