So here's the big question: Why would anyone strap one part of their body to another part so things can't move naturally / independently as they were meant to? This natural movement is actually a good thing and is how the lymph system works to remove toxins from the body.

I have Fs and never thought braless could work for me. I used to wear bras all the time (even at night) because my breasts hurt without. But I slowly tried to get used to it and within a few weeks my posture improved and obviously the tissue got used to it. It's so much better now, I only wear sports bras for running now. And no more pain :) I do a lot of yoga too, I guess that helped to strengthen my back muscles quickly.

This is the major issue I have... breasts are not inherently sexual objects! Seriously wasn't expecting migraine advice from this video but I am boxing up my bras for now and telling my neurologist to document if the frequency of my migraines go down. If this cures me, I may have to hug you! My shoulders always kill me, I have been to physical therapists and was diagnosis with upper cross syndrome but this wasn't associated with my migraines for some reason. I don't even care if my breasts sag, I will do what I must!

Oh please let me know how your experiment goes. I'm interested to see if it helps your condition! (I'm always down for hugging!). Doctors, physical therapists, dentists... these professionals are great tools to help keep your health on track but they don't know everything and they certainly don't know you better than you do. I always take their advice and then take it further and do my own research. This is a prime example of them not putting two and two together. Of course your tightness in your shoulders will have an effect on your headaches and migraines. I'm glad you're taking it into your own hands and actually teaching the therapist a thing or two, haha! I really hope this works for you, I know it's meant a lot less pain for me!

If you have small breasts I think it is absolutely fine to not wear a bra. I would probably, too. Bras can be uncomfortable. If you have bigger or big breasts (I am one of those unfortunate people) you have no choice but to wear a bra in everyday life. I am not really so worried about looking vulgar to others as one other girl commented, but more about my breasts inhibiting me to move as free or fast as I want to. I have a 75E (EU) now (went down from G to that through exercise and simply becoming a healthier person and my body growing up). Breasts are a sensitive part of your body and running or jumping or just being active without something keeping them in place hurts. And I want to oppose your opinion that all underwire bras are horrible. They are not. Only cheap ones are. If you have a larger cupsize you are forced to go into proper lingerie and bra shops because "normal" clothing stores won't produce your size (but that's another completely different and ridiculous and annoying topic). Those high-quality bras will usually cost you between 60-100 Euros but they will last you for a very long time, if you care well for them. When I was younger and was still able to buy bras at normal, cheaper stores I had the undeerwire-poking-problem sometimes as well, so I can assure you that it is simply a quality problem. Also finding the right bra size and a PROPERLY FITTING bra is also crucial to the comfort aspect. Although I usually prefer a Bralette or softer bra, I honestly couldn't go about life completely braless with my cup size. I've tried, it is just too impractical and every girl with large breasts who does it: chapeau, good for you!:) I simply can't see how it doesn't restrict your mobility though. Another thing is the perkiness issue. If you have large breasts - again - it is different from having small breasts. Being a fit person does help the breasts stay up more and longer than just a bra could, but there's always gravity. And if a heavy breast is confronted with it for decades without the support of a bra...well you see where I'm going... Sorry for the long post. I just feel quite passionate about people making one-sided statements about breasts not considering size and weight differences. Which I am sure you didn't mean to do, but it just gets annoying sometimes.
@blueollis7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment, Sofia. No matter the size of your breasts, there is always a choice for every woman. I'm glad you find bras comfortable and suited to your needs. Like I say in the video, if you love them that's great... keep wearing them! I also didn't say all underwire bras are horrible. This video is sharing my experiences with bras and giving the reasons why I personally don't wear them anymore. I say throughout that if you like to wear them, you should. Underwire bras hurt me, so I no longer wear them.
@knautschzonenmietze7 жыл бұрын
Yes, of course I have a choice - like I said, I tried the never-a-bra thing. But I didn't have a choice in the body I got and for some reason nature chose to give me more up there. So if my choice is between 1: surgery 2: no annoying bra and freedom in that sense but therefore restricted motion and pain when being more active and actually having to hold on to your breasts when running or climbing stairs 3: sometimes uncomfortable bras (I don't like bras, just be clear on that, but having the right one limits negative aspects) but therefore free mobility - for me there is only one choice at the moment of my life that I am at and that is number 3 because while being limited in some ways by wearing a bra when out and about I am free to do and move however I want. I would be very interested in hearing more opinions from busty women out there.
@raisab69257 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, because I too get annoyed sometimes when people make it sound like it's a "free" choice to wear bras. Because for me it isn't. If I'd stop wearing bras my boobs would be hanging on my knees 20 years from now...

I stopped shaving 3 years ago. At first you have that mixed feeling, but as time pases you learn to love the way your legs look, the soft (just a diferent kind of soft) that they feel and it comes to a point where you feel unable to start again the cicle of stress and waste of time and money involved with depilation. Also first times showing my non-shaved legs in public were super uncomfortable to me but now I'm just "meh", no problem. So if you wanna try just know that it will get waaaay easier in the long run.

I stopped wearing a bra 3 months ago and I can't bear to wear one now. It was a mixture of comfort calling and being just fed up with the ridiculous things custom makes us do. I feel so much freer. Like you at first I felt VERY self conscious and sometimes even walked with my arms folded but now it hardly ever crosses my mind that people would be staring or judging. And you know why? Because most people aren't going around staring at other people's boobs and they don't care what you're wearing. It's so freeing to realise that the world is not actually judging every aspect of you all the time, and if they are - well that's just plain ole silly and more fool them for not having better this to do. In all the time I have done this no one at work and none of my friends have seemed to notice. I have found it has changed my choices in clothing though. There are certain styles I favour now and certain styles I avoid. With some styles it really is almost impossible to tell I'm not wearing a bra - it all depends on the drape of the fabric and the neckline. Occasionally I will throw on a drapery scarf if I'm not 100% confident. I don't have massive breasts but neither am I flat chested by any means and I don't find it uncomfortable walking. I have even run for a bus without embarrassment or discomfort. I would wear a sports bra for proper exercising but otherwise never again!

Me, I like the support. Also, I'm 43, no point in training my tissue ;-). But. At 42 I finally found the right size for me. So I invested in some good bra's (paying for quality, not marketing or fancy design). I wash them by hand to keep them longer. I had been wearing too small bras for years and having the right size almost changed my life. So if you're unhappy with your bra and still want to wear one: do research on bra sizing. The trick is that cup sizes are relative to band size. Also, it matters how strong and high the connection between the cups is. Specific models are better or specific shapes. However: I agree with Sophie. Not necessary on the nudity, but on it being worthwhile to find out what you like instead of conforming without giving it much thought. Me taking 42 years to find the right size was partly conformism. And part just being Dutch, we're not known for spending a lot of thought or money on frilly things like underwear.

If men with man boobs can be topless so should women. They are just boobs. Boob and nipples. It's not offensive and it's frustrating that women have to cover up, because men over sexualise our bodies. Could you imagine if we did that to their chests? Of course men are objectified in advertising too, but the extent of it is certainly not as far as it is for women - otherwise we'd be able to be topless at all US/Australian beaches! (where being topless is acceptable in that society for men too)

I usually wear sports bras (just elastic fabrics, no padding) and they show a little bit, but going bra-less would be obvious. They seem to work very well for what I wanted them for. They also keep me from chaffing.

What about fitted crop tops (like a stretchy camisole) instead of bras or bralets? They are like small singlets made out of t-shirt material that stop just below the breast. They help with movement and pointy problems in cooler weather. In hot weather they absorb a bit of sweat if you buy the cotton rich ones. Plus they only cost a few dollars.

I love this! I was originally a 36DD. Then had 3 children (who are now 8, 9 and 10). For over 5yrs, I was either pregnant or nursing. Once you go from a natural 36DD and go through 3 pregnancies, I ended up gaining around 20lbs each pregnancy and they were so close together, I didn’t have enough time in between to loose the pregnant weight from the first before I wan pregnant again. And then again. My breasts got up to a 38G. I started out weighing 133lbs when I got married (I’m 5’3”) to 187lbs after I was done with my pregnancies. (My husband is exactly 10” taller than me and I was only 3lbs smaller than him!) I wore a bra ALWAYS. Even at home because they were big enough bough that just cleaning and taking care of kids they were like deflated bunch balloons and were constantly getting pinched. My husband and I share a bank account. Once the bills for that pay period are paid, half go into savings and the other half we split 50/50. It could be $50 or $200. If you wanted something expensive, it either needed to be discussed together (like your job is casual dress but your new job is t and you need to buy a bunch of work clothes) or, most likely, you would have to save up your spending money. So when I wanted a new laptop or my hubby wanted a new gun (he’s a collector), we had to save up our slotted spending money. went to a consultation to a doctor I had been recommended to and had researched to find out everything that would be involved and how much it would cost (since it’s not like insurance covers getting your breasts done) I told him I wanted to go back to the size before I had kids, and have them put back up where they go (as in not hanging to my belly button or sinking into my armpits if I lay down.) Well, I obviously new I was going to need to to loose weight (I didn’t want to get them done, THEN loose the weight and have them be saggy again! So I started saving every penny of my spending money and all the profits from my home business and started getting serious about eating better and working out. I know it sounds cheesy to put a picture on your mirror In your bathroom on your fridge to show an example of what you want to look like. My picture was of my kids. I had realized that I had become one of those fat and out of shape moms who sat and watched her kids play or was usually to tired to go with them to the park or anywhere fun. The first time I says that picture of the three of them at least he park having fun, I burst into tears. I didn’t want to be the mom who help my kids back because I was too fat. I didn’t diet, but made small changes to my eating habits (I started with getting a regular size combo meal at McDonalds!) but when you add little things and pick something you can actually accomplish, you get those endorphins from accomplishing something you set out to do and it makes you feel better than those extra fries did. I love to read, so I started taking my tablet to work and walking up and down the hall while reading my book (and this is regular walker no, not grandma at the mall power walking). Once I got use to doing that one exercise or cutting out that little thing like not supersizing my combo meal, I could move up another step (even those baby ones help.) was You should google things that add calories to your diet every day that you don’t think about. Like licking the peanut butter off the knife when you make your kids PB&Js three times a week will add up to something like 5extra pounds a year that you’ve eaten. Imagine what all of those little baby steps can add up to and that number just grows as you add more and mor baby steps! I didn’t want to diet. I don’t know anyone else it’s the will power to stay on those diets for any length of time, then you end up depressed because you feel like you failed and you go eat your feelings and usually end up 10lbs bigger than when you started! It took me three years to get from 187lbs to 103-107lbs (depending on the time of the month or if fallen of the wagon a bit) which is actually in a healthy weight range for my age (36) and build (I have a very small bone structure) Before, i had to wear super coverage ugly bras that you see a lot of heavier women wear. (Otherwise. You’d end up having to tuck your bigger saggy boobs back into your bra every time you had to bend over. I still have jogging bras (Victoria secret has an amazing one that is a racer back and has the front and sides aerated a bit to whisk moisture away. They’re super comfy and keep those of you who have a similar situation that I had from poking you eye out or getting cramping in your breasts when you jog or work out. I don’t have any bralets, but I do have bandeau bras (black, white and a sage green for any tops that would show everything down to my belly button if I bent over for any reason. I also use this if I’m wearing something tighter, a thin fabric or would be a partially see through without someone underneath, I have cami tank tops that I wear underneath as well, depending on how see through something is or it’s something thought enough that you could pick up my bipolar out of s line up if it ever come down to it. Other than that, I totally agree with everything she said. Even if you’re not in you early 20’s (which we then hate you! Haha!) or just can’t or don’t want to upgrade (enlarge or purk up what you’ve got) a Always do what feels best for you. She sexiest woman is one who you can tell is comfortable o her own skin, whether she’s a size 2 or 28. If you think you rock it, it will rub off on others. My only pet peeve about letting your “girls run free” is when they’re hanging out to a slutty degree or your nipples are very obviously on display. My youngest son is 8 and if I don’t want him to see ME wearing something see through or slutty. I don’t want him to see it on other women. I don’t feel ready to explain the different parts to my 8yo! And god forbid I should have my 4yo nephews with me! And how wouldn’t discreetly and me like my 8yo. He just puke shout out with the top of his lungs that he could see that file bobbies! Rh n I’d just have to crawl in a hole and die. Then take him home and then explain to my sister what How I let her 4yo seem chicks Tara’s!!

I have rather big boobs, not yuuuge and they sag somewhat even though I'm young. I noticed my boobs actually got even saggier since not wearing bra, but I just can't sacrifice my comfort and health. A while ago, I found out that there are bras without wire. I don't know if they work with bigger breasts, but with small breasts, the bra-shaped fabric gives enough support and feels very lightweight. Anyways, I don't wear wired bras anymore because I find them uncomfortable and I never really found ones that fit 100%. I think bra size is an important topic when it comes to how comfortable a bra is.

i wear an A - B cup and i only wear sports bras with no wire. I don't wear a bra at home but I do when i go outside because my nipples poke out too much and my nipples are also super sensitive so when i don't wear bras, my nipples rub against the fabric of my shirt and irritates them...
@blueollis7 жыл бұрын
Mine are the same... always hard (and SUPER sensitive). I find that because I live in England the weather is usually cooler even in summer so wearing a vest top underneath or a jumper / cardigan covers them up. I do have bralettes to wear on the odd occasion it's too warm for jumpers.

Only one to "normalize" this is YOU girls. Do it. Do not wear bras anymore, and don't discuss any point of not wearing one with employers, prudishies, or anybody else wanting You to do wear one. Your body, Your rules. Period. Wearing a bra because OTHER people want You to is the first step towards wearing a niqab or burkha because OTHER people want You to. Just don't.

I think women should dress however makes them comfortable. I, personally, have never found a bra uncomfortable. I'm a DDD and it can actually be uncomfortable to NOT wear a bra. (They're pretty heavy.) However, I would like to know more of why people say that not wearing a bra tends to reduce sagging. I know there was a French study on it not too long ago... but I've also seen National Geographic magazines since I was a child, and not wearing a bra does not seem to encourage perkiness from what I've seen. Am I the only one that finds that concept strange?

Just discovered this video today but I decided to go completely braless (except for fancy occasions) 2 years ago! That was mostly because of comfort but one particular day, I was getting dressed for work and my typical go-to bras just snapped and flew across the room. Don't know if anyone else has had this battle with their under-clothing but it was the start of my revolution!! It was a little weird at first. After a few months I was cured of my "need" to wear a bra all the time. Now I dread the idea of wearing one!! Lol

Does anyone have any tips on how to go braless to work? i see a ton of these videos on going braless but its always from people that work at home. I wear a uniform at work and i also work at a christian store. I feel if i was to go braless at work i might get customer complaints and/or in trouble with management.
@blueollis7 жыл бұрын
Great question! I understand it can be a different ball game when it comes to the office / work environments. In this case I would do whatever makes me most comfortable. I wouldn't, however, let the fear of judgement from others stop me from not wearing a bra. You never know what others are thinking (to be honest most people don't even notice when you don't wear a bra). If it's a Christian organisation, surely the more likely they'll be accepting of you being in a more natural state (the way God made you and intended you to be).

I've worn an underwired bra since I was about 12 and honestly I can happily sleep with one on and I don't even notice it's there. My weight yoyos up and down and my boobs usually fluctuate between a B and C and I would sometimes go braless when I was a B. I'm at my absolute heaviest now with D boobs and I can't even imagine leaving the house braless - I feel like they would just flap around too much and I'd end up looking like Charlie Dimmok or something. I'd give a bralette a go but I don't really see it working for me. Fair play to you for being able and confident enough in yourself to give them up and be comfortable like that - my bank account would be much happier if I could do the same.

I stopped wearing bras a few years ago after learning that it's a complete myth your breasts sag without them over time. Always found them to be uncomfortable and if I need support (usually for modesty's sake or to go with a certain outfit) I'll use one of those t-shirt bra/bralette type things which are super comfy or a normal gym bra for exercise. So liberating.

Bras aren’t supposed to be painful or uncomfortable. You probably have just never got one that properly fits it took me a while to find one but now I’m not in pain when I go down stairs or do sport. It’s like shoes. I would’nt boycott shoes because I tried a few pairs and they didn’t fit and were painful cause they squished my toes. Because walking on concrete isn’t fun either. Yes bras that don’t fit aren’t comfy but neither are most things when they don’t fit, and it’s so much more practical when you do find one that fits. That’s at least what happened to me haha but whatever works for you.

I never wear bras unless I Absol-utely (I couldn't help the pun)have to! I'm comfortable without a bra at home or when I'm at a motel and I don't have to go anywhere(I came back from Universal a few weeks ago) and when I have to wear bras, I prefer sports bras because they're comfortable and the straps are easy to knot if I have to fix them at school because the bra won't stay put. +Lauren Hill If you are wearing professional clothing in the office, and not such clothing as tight t-shirts, how would others in your office even know that you are not wearing a bra? In addition, many offices may have dress codes, but these dress codes usually only pertain to outerwear, not underwear. As long as you are following the dress code, your employer should not have an issue with the way that you dress. Furthermore, from my perspective as a man, it seems that you are placing too much emphasis on what you think men are thinking. As long as you are not violating the rights of others and are in accordance with your employer's dress code, whether you choose to wear a bra or not is up to you. Of course, this applies if you are residing in a Western country. If you are living in Saudi Arabia other similar nation, then the standards are different.
