I have a Bichon, and while I agree about the grooming part, I definitely disagree with a lot of this. My dog is surprisingly smart and easy to train. He loves to travel and is very active.

Thanks for sharing! It's relative to other dog breeds. The nicest thing about Bichon is that they are so cheerful and eager to please. Personally, I would give our little Lumen 10/10 for all categories 😃.

My bichon/Maltese is very smart....yes, my Winn Dixie is very clingy, but I can leave the house. My windelynn, also loves to eat, is extremely affectionate, sweet, and loving.....I do have a problem with housebreaking...she does know exactly where to potty outside, but will purposely go In her crate at times...oh, and she is demanding, but pleasing at the same time❤

id beg to differ Bichons are very smart dogs after all they are decent of Poodles one of the most intellegent breeds out there, the reason why Bichons can be bad at training is they can be very stubborn its a part of their breed, my Branden was stubborn as a pup, especially potty training and biting things around the house he be stubborn about... also about them jumping mine jumped on and off the couch or bed all the time and was perfectly fine and he jumped around when he blitzed also. mine actually liked veggies especially carrots loved the crunch.

They are the greatest dogs in the world. It's understanding that some may not be able to handle this level of greatness. Plenty of dumb dogs around for them ...

how did you get lumen to like her shoes/socks? As well as walking outside without biting the leash? :)
@9000LumenBichon8 ай бұрын
Ha, wouldn’t say she likes shoes, but she doesn’t mind it anymore when we put them on occasionally. we did try a few types to see what she’s more comfortable with. She prefers a socks-like pair that is thin and breathable. Biting the leash could be due to several reasons. The most common is overly stimulation because it’s so happy to walk with you. Pause the walk if biting happens and calm it down first before continuing. You can also give it something else to chew on while walking. We’ll see if we can do a video on this topic soon. Cheers!
