Reason #1, Lack of nature. Dubai vs KL. KL is the clear winner, home to one of the oldest tropical rainforests in the world ageing 130 millions years old. Even in the capital KL, there are lots of greeneries, parks and gardens in and around the city. My favorite is the KLCC park, the botanical garden and the lake Titiwangsa garden. All free admissions. The eco canopy walk is also quite interesting but with an entrance fee. 😀

Reason #4, If you don't make enough money. 5:35, glad that you mentioned KL as an alternative to Dubai. 😀

Reason #5, If you rely on government assistance. You may not realized it, but whoever is in Malaysia, one way or the other, will receive the government assistance in the form of subsidies for petrol, diesel and many other consumer items ie sugar, flour etc. The subsidies for rice and palm cooking oil has been reduced significantly. In Malaysia, for Malaysian, there are Klinik 1Malaysia all over the country. The people only need to pay RM1 for GP consultation, blood or urine tests, check ups for diabetics or hypertension, plus all the prescribed medicines, also including basic dental but not cosmetics. 😀

Dubai is a roast and bakery machine. Don’t know how people live there. I miss Canadian nature . You didn’t mention Tim Hortons costs like 14 Dhs or like 5 dollars

Dubai is not a home country, at the end you will remain foreigner, no taxes but what you will earn will be spending here. It’s like a amusement park come enjoy spend go.

I will give You some reasons I fell for the IG reels I saw and moved to Dubai from the USA in 2023 I came back 5 months later happily back to USA. what I encountered: Worst Air Quality in the world the type that makes u choke and they will tell u it’s fog, It’s UNLAWFUL to speak negative about Dubai even if it’s true, No freedom of speech, as a woman ur pretty much no one. they say it’s safe but any little stupid thing can land u in jail, not safe from the government. so many people suffer there no one talks about it.
