Yes it was phil who pushed dennis to go and kill johnny otherwise he would have left Walford with sharon to start a new life with his baby on the way. Also it wasn't jake moon who killed dennis it was jake's nutty brother Danny moon who killed dennis sent by johnny.

Dennis never wanted to remain in the square before he married sharon .sharon was a pain in the a** I want to find my dad ,I want him to give me away , she fulfilled her fantasy ..she never loved dennis ,DEN WATTS WAS NOT HER FATHER . can you see it she wanted den watts to give his adopted daughter to his biological son in marriage. Dennis should have left and the writers should have kept him in the script instead phil the rat wants him out the picture and set the wheels in motion . So jake moon gets his moment and shoots Dennis. Sharons fault she never loved him 1 bit .
